SEAL publishes special issue on percentage philanthropy
August 10th 2004
The SEAL Journal has just published a special Summer-Autumn 2004 issue
in cooperation with Hungaryłs Nonprofit Information and Training Centre
(NIOK)
focusing on the important philanthropic development of percentage
laws. Pioneered by Hungary, these laws are now spreading across Central
and Eastern Europe and are becoming a key tool for stimulating citizen
philanthropy and increasing civil society sustainability in the region. >full

What is SEAL?
The Social Economy and Law project encompasses a range of activities
and seeks to promote an enabling environment for the social economy
(foundations, associations, and other non-profit organisations) and to
enhance the process of legal reform by improving knowledge of current
legal developments throughout Europe.
SEAL Journal: A
journal on non-profit law, focusing primarily on Central and Eastern
Europe and the New Independent States, with expanding coverage of the
European Union.
The SEAL Electronic Bulletin
(E-SEAL) is disseminated free of charge by e-mail three times per year
as a supplement to the SEAL Journal.
Directory of Key
Contacts: A directory of key resource people in social economy law in
Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States.
National Legal
Websites: These national websites are being set up in Central and
Eastern Europe and provide information on national legal-fiscal
frameworks
