The Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD)
MCI exhibited its new product - Broadband Communication System KROKUS - 2000 - at The Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD). The exhibition was hosted by NATO's Defence Investment Division, and its focus was on emerging technologies or new equipment that has the potential to be used for the support of PRTs. MCI showed a concept of using Broadband Communication System for Land Forces to support Afghan civil or military communication infrastructure. KROKUS can be used to provide services for local governments to communicate with central ones or support military and civil reconstruction activities.
The Radio Access Vehicles can be used to provide user services for reconnaissance forces and deliver situation reports through KROKUS communication infrastructure to i.e. joint coordination centres or governmental reconstruction teams. The exhibition gave the representatives of a selected group of companies and research establishments from NATO countries the opportunity to exhibit their products, technological know-how or R and T developments to senior military and diplomatic officials located in Brussels, as well as the senior acquisition decision-makers from capitals who attended CNAD.
