History of Military Communication InstituteThe Institute was established on 1 May, 1951 as the Research and Development Ground of Communication. Its main task was to research and improve legacy communications equipment used in Polish Armed Forces. With the time, the tasks of the Institute have changed and the scope of its activities has widened significantly.

On 24 April 1965, the Institute was given a new name: Military Communication Institute. In 1997, its name was changed to The Professor Groszkowski Military Communication Institute.
