E-mail: [e-mail] Scientific Library at MCI gathers a wide range of books in a field of telecommunications, electro-technology, electronics, computer science, cryptology and mathematics. There are over seventeen thousands volumes in the Library, both Polish and foreign.
Direct cooperation with national and foreign scientific publishing houses, ensures very good acquaintance of current publishing market and ensures regular updating of the book collection. The Library of MCI accumulates also the conference materials as well as issues concerning standardization (standardization catalogues, Polish standards and American military standards - MIL, standardization agreements - STANAG as well as the CCITT and ITU recommendations).
The periodicals constitute a considerable piece of Library gatherings. Present subscription includes 46 titles -34 Polish and 12 foreign ones. Among foreign periodicals, the majority is issued by IEEE publishing house, which is very important source of current scientific information.
In order to improve the Library work and cooperation with readers, in 1994, the Library underwent a process of computerization. Today, the System of Management called "Co - Liber" enables total automation of Library gatherings, borrows and orders records as well as access to information in the area of both sources and users. Within the system Co-Liber, there are two databases: BIBLIO and PUBLIK. The first is the library gatherings catalogue whereas the other is a register of MCI employees' publications. The Library cooperates with other libraries in the area of exchanging books, periodicals and other publications, which enables direct access to current professional literature for the scientific circles in Poland.
