SUBJECT: ASSEMBLING CONTROL VALVE HOIST SPOOL EYE
When assembling the hoist spool eye, P/N 260988, in control valves, P/N s 262200 and 255346, correct
procedures must be followed to prevent spool eye loosening during service.
1. Thoroughly clean thread areas of eye and spool.
2. Apply Loctite primer  T to both threaded surfaces according to manufacturer s instructions.
3. Apply Loctite 277 to threads according to manufacturer s instructions.
4. Install eye into spool and tighten to 60 - 65 in. lb. (.69 - .75 kg m).
5. Allow Loctite to cure according to manufacturer s instructions before pressurizing the valve.
