A truly intelligent device designed for 300
mm digital control networks, the i-Baratron Digital Capacitance
Manometer (DMA) couples an advanced signal processing engine with
low-power electronics. The new DMA family is digital from the ground
up, with the first series specifically designed for DeviceNetâ"ó
applications. The digital backbone combined with the MKS industry
standard Inconel® all-welded sensor provides a packaged solution
compatible with the most corrosive process environments. The
i-Baratron DMA is the latest advance in MKS’ digital family of
technology products for greater process productivity and builds upon
MKS’ current line of industry-proven Baratron capacitance
manometers. The i-Baratron DMA provides a seamless migration path
for customers who are transitioning process tool control systems
from analog to digital communications. The communications interface
incorporates ODVA-compliant DeviceNetâ"ó communication protocol.
Unique features, that only a true digital product can offer, include
One-Touchâ"ó push button zero control, which eliminates the need to
adjust potentiometers, and optional PinPointâ"ó calibration to
optimize accuracy at a specific pressure value. The DMA family
produces a high resolution digital output, plus the analog
equivalent signal, offering accurate, reliable, and repeatable
pressure measurement for Full Scale output ranges from 20 mTorr to
1000 Torr.
