SUBJECT: CARRIAGE LOAD ROLLER SHIMMING
The carriage side plates have been extended to allow for side rollers to be mounted between the top and
middle canted load rollers. The side rollers are standard for all carriages with side shift or hydraulic
attachments and optional on all other carriages.
It is essential that the load rollers and side rollers be shimmed properly to prevent the possibilityof carriage
side plates bending. See Figure 1 below. The top load rollers should be shimmed so that they carry no side
loading.
