PTS Scope
---------
Loading data from disk improved where TW/TI configuration unclear.
Improvements to timebase, allows for floating point values and displays values better.

PTS Terminal

Communications between PC <> PTS data transfer rate displayed on status bar.
Bug where "no syntax" option would crash Terminal eliminated.
Write buffer reduced to stop flooding PTS (serial).

Primarily this version adds support for PTS Analyser to PTS Editor.
The second major new feature is PTS Command Help replacing the Windows help file.
To cope with "lost disks" the Install routine now copies all PDF manuals onto the PC.

PTS Scope

QDrive Setup

Greater checking of "dangerous" values (e.g. QP32).

PTS Command Help
----------------
This replaces the windows help file previously used for PTS two letter command help.
Looking similar to HTML help this program uses a database of PTS commands and has
extended search features as well as support for multiple PTS versions.
It will also be possible to update the database independently of the toolkit - so
look for updates posted on the Quin WWW site.

PTS Clone system added to PTS Terminal at V2.2.1.0

1. PTS terminal has new menu item "tools" "clone" - used to start the clone process.
2. VN detect now gets out of configuration shells - e.g. NS or DQ
3. New Edit, Paste Raw menu entry added to PTS Terminal - this lets you paste text
without whitespace and comment stripping - useful for pasting in NS shell for instance.
4. Upload improved drastically - does Operator Panels as well as LA data
5. Download improved to include Operators Panel data as well as PTS and raw text

PTS Clone is the easiest and most reliable method to "clone" a PTS system.

The first part of the operation sucks ALL user configuration settings out of the PTS
onto the PC disk. This is stored in a ".PTC" file and can be used for emergency
repair or creating an identical PTS system.

The second part of the operation downloads the .PTC file to a (new) PTS after
checking that the target is identical to the original PTS. The user is prompted
for missing details (such as licence keys) and a report is generated.

===============

This includes a major performance update of PTS Command Help and minor bug fixes
to other programs. Also trial licensing has been added for the 'scope and analysers

PTS Editor
----------
Printing of multi-page selection has been fixed.
A number of minor issues with the analyser 'plug-ins' have been fixed (focus, updating
and evaluating trigger variables through user signals).
Analyser plug-ins work on a 30 day trial period, after which they stop working. The
required access key to enable these applications can be purchased from Quin Systems or
your distributor. The required information can be found in the Help menu of PTS Editor,
"Analyser Licenses" entry. NB If no analysers are installed, or they are turned off
in the Options dialog of PTS Editor, you will not see the analyser menu options,
including this license dialog.

PTS Terminal
------------
PTS Clone now works OK with CF values of only three digits (normally 4 digits)
Operators Panel upload and download now spots errors better and doesn't mistake
message list entries for upload/download errors.

PTS Scope
---------
The standard "tuning" mode of PTS scope can be extended to access the full 'scope
features by purchasing a license from Quin. From this version PTS 'scope runs in the
full 'scope mode for the first 15 days of installation, as a trial. To use the 'scope
features after this date please purchase an access code from Quin Systems or your
distributor. The required information can be found in the Help menu of PTS Scope,
"Upgrade to Scope" entry.
Running in tuning only mode the "historical samples" can now be accessed through the
'set traces' dialog - even though no other changes can be made. Also tuning turns on
the three traces automatically. The settings dialog is also clearer about what is
happening when a trace is switched off.

QDrive Setup
------------
Checking of parameters 26, 27 and 32 has been further enhanced - this means that it
is far less likely to leave a QDrive 'mis-configured' as the QDrive setup program
checks these three parameters for 'correctness' when it first connects to a QDrive and
whenever it saves settings in a QDrive.

PTS Command Help
----------------
The loading time of this application has been drastically reduced (by a factor of 15
or so). Search and indexing facilities are now faster. More features have been
added to some of the dialogs to make them user friendly (remember last selection). The
database of PTS commands has been revised to include more information and correct some
mistakes.
