1. Warm up. T gives Ss 2 minutes to look at the irregular verb list on page 58-59 in Helping Hands Manual. Ss close their books. In pairs, one S give the infinitive of a verb; if the other S says past participle correctly, she/he wins a point and it is his/her turn to give an infinitive for the other student to guess.	- to activate students	T-Ss S1, S2, S3	6min.
2. T asks Ss for ideas about why Greg wants to meet Rob. Play the CD to check (he wants to show him a new computer game) Ss match the questions to the answers. T plays the CD, Ss listen and check.	- to introduce present perfect with just - to listen for a specific information in a conversation	S1, S2 T-Ss	5min.
3. T explains: we use the present perfect + just when we want to talk about sth that has happened very recently. - the word order is have/has + just + past participle. Ss read and complete the Grammar Box. Check the answers as a class. T asks Ss to complete the sentences. Oral check. Ex.3 Ss work in pairs and say what has just happened.	- to give controlled practice of: I've just sent you a message.	T-Ss S1, S2, S3… Ss-T	10min.
4. Vocabulary: tabloid news. Ss match the words to make phrases	- to introduce new vocabulary	S1, S2, S3…	8min.
5. Read. Ss have 15 seconds to look at the articles quickly and match them to the headlines. Oral check. Ss read the article more slowly and mark the sentences true or false. Oral check, T gets Ss to correct false sentences. 6. Grammar in use. Present perfect vs. past simple. Ss complete the sentences. Oral check. T uses Remember! card to provide explanation. Ex.9 T gives Ss some time to complete the text. Pairs choose one of the situations. Pairs write a short dialogue. T tells them that they have to include at least one example of just with the present perfect.
