  1. Think of someone you get on well with. What makes your relationship tick?

  1. Is there someone you look down on? If so, what has this person done to make you despise him or her? If there is no such person, what would someone have to do to make you dislike them so much?

Ćwiczenie 6.

Praca w parach. Spójrz na fotografię zamieszczoną w ćwiczeniowym zestawie egza­minacyjnym nr 5 na str. 88. Waszym zadaniem jest przygotowanie życiorysu starszej kobiety z fotografii: od urodzin aż do jej obecnego wieku. Wygrywa ta para, która przygotuje naj­ciekawszy życiorys.

Ćwiczenie 7.

Spójrz na poniższą tabelę i wykonaj polecenia 1 -3.

  1. Zaznacz w tabeli, jak często wykonujesz wymienione czynności.

  2. Dopisz na końcu tabeli jeszcze trzy czynności i zaznacz częstotliwość ich wykonywania.

  3. Pracując w parach, przećwicz zadawanie pytań (How often do you...?) oraz odpowiedzi

na nie.

Odpowiedz na pytania i wykonaj polecenia podane poniżej. Możesz wykorzystać do tego celu słownictwo zamieszczone w tabeli w ćwiczeniu nr 7. Dodaj także inne wybrane przez siebie codzienne czynności.

  1. Which everyday activities do you like doing? Which ones do you really enjoy?

  2. Which ones are the activites you don't like doing at all?

  3. Which activities do you have to do?

  4. Which activities take too much of your time?

  5. Think about the activities you did as a toddler and a young teenager. What did you do and what did you have to do then?

Odpowiedz na poniższe pytania.

  1. What should you do to organize a surprise birthday party for someone? Has anyone ever organized a surprise birthday party for you? If so, how were you taken by surprise? If not, how would you like it to happen?

  2. Describe your first day at school (primary school). What did you do? How did you feel?

  3. How old were you when you started school? How old were you when you left primary school?

  4. What time do you usually start lessons at school? What time do you finish school?

  5. Have you ever had to change schools or move house? Describe when and how it hap­pened.

  6. Describe your coming-of-age party. Was it exactly on the day of your eighteenth birth­day? If not, when did it take place? Was the party big or small? How many people were invited? Who were they? What did your birthday cake look like? What did you receive as presents?

  7. Describe any event in your life that calls (called?) for celebration: for example, passing your driving test, getting your first car, receiving top marks in your school report, finishing an important course, passing an important examination, receiving an award for some exceptional achievement. How did you celebrate it?

  8. Describe how in your family or with a circle of friends you celebrate the following holidays: Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, St Andrew's Day, St Nicholas's Day, New Year's Eve. Which of them are the most important for you? Why? What other holidays do you cele­brate? Describe how you do it.
