Jamie Oliver is a well-known British chef. He was born on 27th May 1975 in Clavering, Essex. His parents, Trevor and Sally, had a pub-restaurant and they taught their son how to cook. Jamie started washing and cutting up vegetables when he was eight.
He went to college to study cooking when he was 16 and then went to work in France to learn about French food. After that, he came back to London and worked in two famous restaurants - Antonio Carluccio's and The River Café.
His famous book of recipes, The Naked Chef, came out in 1999. It was the first of his many books and TV programmes about food and cooking. In 2005, he had a programme called Jamie's School Dinners. He showed schools how to give children fresh and interesting food, not boring food. In 2008, there was another programme called Jamie's Ministry of Food. He taught people in the town of Rotherham how to cook fresh food and eat in a healthy way.
Jamie loves making pasta and bread, and admires the work of chef, Rick Stein. He plays the drums and likes the band Coldplay. He met his wife Jools in 1993 and they got married in 2000. They've got three children and live in London.

it's very easy to make a greek salad. you need lettuce tomatoes black olives an onion some feta cheese and a big dish. first wash and cut up the lettuce and tomatoes. next put all the ingredients into the dish and add some olive oil. don't add salt because feta cheese is very salty. then stir and serve with fresh bread. delicious!
