How to Make Swedish Paper Hearts

1. Trace the pattern on 2 different folded pieces of paper. The flat side of the pattern is directly on the fold. Cut the pattern out. Cut each of the 2 center lines until the line ends. Each piece has then 3 “loops”. You will now be weaving through the loops.
2. Use the pictures as guides. The directions is based on the positions of the 2 pieces seen in the picture. Following the picture, and starting with the bottom 1/3 loop of the silver piece, weave it through the first red loop, insert the second red loop through this silver piece and weave this silver piece through the 3rd red loop again.
3. The middle loop of the silver piece gets done the opposite way. First weave the right red loop through this silver loop, then weave this middle silver loop through the middle red loop and then weave the red loop through this silver loop again.
The top silver loop and the left red loop in the picture get done the same way as the first loop shown in step 2.
4. Once completed, your heart looks like this.
5. It is now a “bag” that can be opened and filled.
6. You can now add a strap to it. Cut a 2 cm wide piece of matching paper and use double sided self sticking foil to attach it to the inside of the heart.
7. Attach the other end to the other half of the inside of the heart.
8. When finished, it looks like this and it is ready to hang on your tree.
