Programming a new key (no other working keys are available):
The Toyota/Lexus Electronic Control Module (ECM) does not have programming modes without a pre-programmed key. If there is no key available that is already programmed into the ECM, the ECM must be replaced.
Deleting all but one key:
Simultaneously press and release the foot-brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.
Insert existing master key into ignition. Leave the key in the OFF (LOCK) position.
Within 15 seconds of inserting the key, press and release the accelerator pedal 6 times.
Within 10 seconds of completing the above step, press and release the accelerator pedal 7 times.
The security light will flash, indicating that all keys (except than the one being used) have been deleted.
Remove the key from the ignition cylinder within 10 seconds. It is now the only key still programmed in the ECM.
Programmming a spare key:
To stop the process at any time, press on the foot-brake pedal 1 time.
