Conjunctions linking words and phrases
(Traditional)
Conjunctions 和、與、及are used to connect words and phrases. They are never used to link clauses.
和 (neutral) and (connecting words)
與 (formal) = and (connecting words); together with
與connect two or more nouns that are parallel and interactive.
好萊塢的虛榮與繁華似乎强烈地吸引著這個女孩。
The gloss and glitter of Hollywood seemed fascinating to the girl.
即使是最聰明的人也會陷入瑣事與混亂之中。
The most brilliant person may be mired in detail and confusion.
