Learn about strategy, mood and tone

Differentiated Learning Outcomes

ALL students WILL be able to describe the terms Strategy, Mood & Tone when talking about computer games design

MOST students WILL be able to explain why thinking about the above features when making a computer game adds extra depth and complexity

SOME students will be able to apply this knowledge to successfully enhance the strategy, mood & tone of their Kodu games

Starter

Write Learning Objective onto Self-Assessment page of workbooks.

Activity

Plenary

Students assess their achievement this lesson by drawing or or on the Self-Assessment page of their workbooks. They also discuss, in pairs (turning to partner) their level of success this lesson, making sure to use key terms from the lesson in their discussion (Literacy Link).

MOST students WILL be able to explain why thinking carefully about the above features when making a computer game adds extra depth and complexity

SOME students WILL be able to apply this knowledge to successfully add a plot / story to their Kodu games
