FLOWER MODULE. Use a square of paper, colored side up. Valley fold the opposite sides in both directions to mark the vertical and horizontal fold-lines, then open up again.		Valley fold the corners into the middle. Press the paper flat.		This should be the result. Turn the paper over.

Valley fold the corners into the middle. Press them flat and unfold them. Then, turn the paper over.		Open out the flaps as shown. Turn the paper over.		Along the existing fold-lines, valley fold the center points of the opposite sides and top and bottom edges into the middle, thereby making four small squares. Squash them flat.

This should be the result. Turn the paper over.		Valley fold the four corners as shown. Press them flat and unfold them. Then, turn the paper over.		Sink the four points. This is what you do: open out the model slightly, unfold the paper on the corner, crease the four sides of the inner square into mountain folds. Push down on the middle of the square and collapse the sides toward the middle, thereby completing the sink. Repeat with the other three points.

12 This is the completed flower module.   ROSE. Take one flower module. Open out the flaps slightly, and start rolling the flaps on a thin cylindrical object, for example, a plastic knitting needle, as far as it will go.   This should be the result.

15 Roll the middle flaps out too, thereby shaping the rose.   Here is the completed Rose. It's possible to make the double Rose. For it you will need an additional small flower module. Insert the small module into the big one and you will receive the double Rose.
  LEAF/PETAL. Use a square of paper, one quarter the size of the square used for the flower module. Begin with the white side up. Valley fold the paper in half from left to right. Press it flat and unfold it.

18 Valley fold the bottom sloping edges over to meet the middle fold-line.   Valley fold the side corners a little, thereby shaping the leaf. Turn the leaf over.
Here is the finished leaf or petal ready to be added to the flower.

JOINING. Unroll the four middle flaps of the rose. Insert the longer pointed end of the leaf between the outer layers of the rose as far as it will go. Insert other leaves, as desired.		Roll the middle flaps outward, thereby locking the leaves' ends into the rose.		Here is the completed rose with the leaves.

SUNFLOWER. Make the flower module; you could roll its middle flaps like in the rose. Also make eight petals, according to the leaf diagram. For each petal, use a square of paper, one quarter the size of the square used for the flower module.		Insert the longer pointed end of the petal between the outer layers of the flower module as far as it will go. Insert the other petals and lock the petals' ends by rolling the middle flaps of the flower module. You could insert the stalk together with one of the petals.		Here is the completed Sunflower. By inserting eight leaves into the flower module it results in a flower like a sunflower, a dahlia and so on.

27  POPPY. For making the Poppy you'll need to make the flower module, it will be the flower's core. Also for Poppy petals, take four squares of paper, about two thirds of the size of the square used for the flower module.   To form the Poppy petal, mountain fold the three corners as shown.  

Here is the completer petal for the Poppy. Make three more petals.

30 JOINING. Insert the end of the petal between the outer layers of the core as far as it will go.   Open out the layers in the middle slightly. Mountain fold the inner corner into the module, thereby locking the core and the petal together. Repeat with the remaining petals.   Here is the completed Poppy. Add green leaves if you like.
