Dear Sam,
Thank you for your last letter. I knew from it a lot. In Poland I can describe you a similar building that causes some disagreements.
In the center of the Warsaw, near the Central train station you can find a Pałac Kultury I Nauki. It was build in 1952, by the Polish communistic government. They said that it was a gift from a friendly Soviet Union. They lied of course but in that times you could not have an other opinion than that which gives PZPR. It is a very ugly building. It is the highest building in the Warsaw. Inside of it are many rooms and halls. All is marble. In this building are cinema, restaurants, conference rooms and many other. The main character if it is to give to people some cultural entertainment. Most of the people in Poland do not like it because it brings memories of horrible times when communistic government ruled in Poland. We can tell that it was a kind of occupation of our nation.
I hope you learn something about my country. I hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes,
XYZ
