T says good morning and asks students how they feel. Then checks the list of the students.

Teacher asks students what they say when they see someone they know. T elicits “hello” and asks students what other greetings they know. - to elicits greetings which students know T-S 4’
Teacher writes on the board: hello, hi, good morning, goodbye and asks students which one is NOT a greeting. Then asks student to repeat after her all four words. - to create students interest and practise pronunciation T-S 2’
Teacher tells students they have three minutes to greet as many of their classmates as possible – she encourages them to use as many different greetings as possible. - to practise greetings in many different ways SS-SS 5’
Teacher tells students the aim of the activity and writes on the board “What’s your name?” and below “My name’s” Teacher practices these structures by asking students what their name are.

- to make students aware of the fact that learning and practising doesn’t have to be boring and tiring

Teacher takes a ball and asks students to stand in the circle . She says “Hi!” then throw the ball to a strong student and encourage him to say “Hello or other greeting. This student then throw the ball to another students who does the same.

When every student has caught the ball, teacher takes the ball and says “My name’s Monika” and throw the ball to another person and encourage her to introduce herself. This student then throw the ball to another student who does the same. -to train students’ memory
