LEEDS – centre of textile (textile trade), industrial city (industrial revolution is connected with this place),
NEWCASTLE – ship building industry, export of coal, heavy industry – industrial centre (city and port),
HULL – one of the largest fishing port,
SUNDERLAND – ship building and coal port to export it (it is located really near to Newcastle),
BLACKPOOL – seaside resort – good place to spend holiday there:

YORK – very historical city (Romans built York and there is some of Roman style; it was capital of the Vikings kingdom; it is one of the oldest city in Europe; War of Roses between Lancaster and York is connected with this place); white rose is a symbol of York; industrial revolution is connected with this place:
National Railway Museum (connected with trains) – is connected with George Stevenson who built railway between Stockton and Darlington,
York Minster – the largest cathedral in Europe,
DURHAM - historic city (it was built by Normans and there is some of Norman style:

PENNINES – mountains running down centre of north of England,
WINDEMERE – the largest lake in England (The Steam Boat Museum is connected with this lake – and this museum is connected with industrial revolution – first ship and train were invented).
3. Northern England – PARKS:
THE LAKE DISTRICT – the national park of England, this part has lakes (water sports) and also mountains; this place is connected with literature it means with nature poets Wordsworth and Coleridge who are known as Lake Poets – Lake Grasmere is connected with them,
YORK SHIRE MOORS or NORTH YORK MOORS – it is also English Park (Bronte Sisters are connected with this place – they were romantic writers,
YORK SHIRE DALES – there is no trees and no woods.
4. Midlands: it is the heart of England because there is centre of economic and it is situated in the centre; there started industrial revolution which made Britain powerful - it was started in the end of 19th century, then Britain ruled half of a world (rich textile industry was first).
5. Midlands:
BIRMINGHAM – the main, the largest place – the most important industrial city (the second most important city after England); this city is called as ‘black county’ caused by a lot of smog:

MANCHESTER – industrial revolution started there with textile revolution – first factories appeared there:

LIVERPOOL – a port,

NOTTINGHAM – industrial centre: textile and lace (this place is connected with legends about Robin Hood – his statue is there),
COVENTRY – industrial and historic place: motorcars:
Coventry Cathedral – monument connected with II World War,
OXFORD – centre is mainly famous for university college – university town – this university is the oldest university which was founded in 12th century, this university is federation of independent colleges (one student has own tutor who is responsible for him/her); centre of medicine; industrial city – motorcars industry; there is voluntary organization which helps people when they need help for example after natural disasters; there is SHELDONIAN THEATRE which is used for university ceremonies,
STRATFORD – place connected with William Shakespeare – his birth place, there are buildings connected with him:

Anne Hathaway’s Cottage (connected with his wife),
Shakespeare Grammar School.
6. National parks in Midlands:
