Now, having an account with any e-mail address, allows us to send messages that will be forwarded to the receiver within a few minutes. We can also visit various social networking sites such as Facebook and meet new friends or find old friends from the past. The messages can now reach us no matter where we are.

Internet is also a great source of knowledge. Thanks to it, we can find various manuals, instructions and rules that we would have to look for in many different books. Instead of buying films and music, we can just play the track or video from an appropriate web page. We can also download them, which is a lot cheaper than buying them. This however, does not discourage shopping. There is a number of online stores, in which we can not only buy new or used items, but we can also sell things we do not need and may want to get rid of.

We may also use the Internet to upload all sorts of files to store them so that we can save the space on our computer disc, or make them available for download for other Internet users.
