Are books a thing of the past? Why are e-books so popular? Compare advantages and disadvantages of traditional books and e-books.

Nowadays many people read b-books. This kind of books become more and more popular. First I would like to tell what e-book is? So, e-book in an electronic version of traditional print book that can be read by using a personal computer, smartphone or by using e-book reader. But why e books are so popular? I think the most advantage is price. E books are much cheaper than books, for example one harry potters tome cost around 90zl, if you want to buy an e book it costs around 25zl. You can also download many e-books for free. Second advantage is availability(ewejlebility). It is very easy to get or lent e book, you don’t have to go anywhere. Everything you have to do is to search and download it, just click and that’s all. Reading e books is moreover very comfortable. Is easy to have many books in a small and light device everytime. It also don’t take place at shelves. Instead it you can put there more important things. And ofcourse you don’t have to clear dust(kurz) as in traditional books. Another advantage of e books is that you can read it wherever you are. It is easy to reading it in streetcar or train and e book reader don’t a lot of space in your bag like an ordinary book . Another advantage of e books is that you can make font(czcionka) bigger. It is not possible in any traditional book, but in e book you will do it in one click. Other option you can use is that reader can translate you any text you want. Last advantage is ecology. People don’t have to destroy forest. Ofcourse As everything e books have few disadvantages. If you want to reading e books you have to buy tablet, computer or smart phone. It costs about 500zl. Another disadvantage is that You have to remember load battery. Without loaded battery you can’t read. A traditional book will never turn off. Some people likes smelling new book, if you use e books you wont feel this smell. . E-books cannot provide the physical feel of the cover, paper, and binding of the original printed work. Paper books can be bought and wrapped(opakowane) for a present and a library of books can provide visual appeal, while the digital nature of e-books makes them invisible An author who publishes a book often makes a signature in first page, but in e-book it is not possible. When you buy books it is hard to destroy it or loose, but e-books can be easy damaged or stolen. In that case you will loose all your books. There is a risk that people starts not pay for e-books and only share it for free. It is dangerous for writers. Last disadvantage is that e books could be harmful. Traditional books don’t normally cause significant eye-strain.
To sum up. E books are more and more popular nowadays. People often use and enjoy it but I think people will stop reading traditional books. I’ll prefer read e books because it is for free and it is more comfortable.
