People attend school for many different reasons (for example, expanded knowledge, societal awareness, and enhanced interpersonal relationships). Why do you think people decide to go to school? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
These days more and more people have bachelor's or master's degree. Young people attend to many schools, various universities and on different courses. It is generally thought that nowadays, there is a kind of popular trend to be well educated. In my opinion most of people attending to school are motivated by getting more knowledge and increase their social position.
First of all, in our society it is very attractive to be well educated. It is known that person with high background is perceived as someone more clever, intelligent and generally deserve for a big respect. Secondly, it is natural human behavior to be curious. This feature pushing us to getting more and more knowledge. What is more, better education ensure better paid job. Except material profits it gives a bigger choice and more opportunities of getting job.
However, there are quite a few situations when people decide to go to school because of other reasons than expanding knowledge. For instance, being a student is connected with some discounts like cheaper tickets, food, clothes and other useful services. Furthermore, some men attend to school to avoid being taken for military service.
To sum up, it is not so difficult to find cases when people start school for other profits than expanding knowledge. Nevertheless, I think that most people choose education to feed curiosity and ensure their future.
