RETAIL OUTLETS

Selgros purchases 5 hectares of land from EDO for construction of retail center in Wrocław. Works on the construction of the Selgros retail outlet are to begin this year on Krakowska St. in Wrocław. The investment will be situated on a land plot with an area of nearly 5 hectares, purchased by the German concern from the Wrocław based company EDO. Currently, Studio ADS is designing the complex. We have not been able to find out the architectural details of the investment. Janusz Kępa, president of EDO, said that the investment will comprise the construction of a four-story building, with the first floor taken up by retail outlets and the remaining three by office space.

Studio ADS is also working on the design of Selgros hypermarket in Bydgoszcz, at the junction of Wyścigowa and Startowa streets. The store will be situated on the area of the former Bydgoska Centrala Materiałów Budowlanych center.

This April, we informed in PREM that Selgros is also applying for administrative consents for the construction of a wholesale trade center in Swadzim near Poznań. ■

Ro.Sa.-Bud will build shopping gallery with area of 12,700 sqm in Radom. Ro.Sa.-Bud is beginning, as developer and general contractor, the construction of the “Pawilony Rosa” shopping gallery at the junction of Witolda and Kilińskiego streets in Radom (Mazowieckie Voivodship). The investment, designed by Wojciech Gęsiak's locak office WG Studio, will comprise the construction of a 3-story building with a total area of 12,700 sqm. The construction works will take 2 years. ■

Savant will choose contractor for Antan shopping center with area of 8,000 sqm in Bolesławiec. Engineering and consulting company Savant will soon begin, on behalf of the German company Antan Development, the procedure of choosing a general contractor for an office-shopping center, planned on Asnyka St. in Bolesławiec (Dolnośląskie Voivodship). The tender should be concluded by the end of the 3rd quarter of this year.

The four-story building, designed by RKW Rhode Kellerman Wawrowsky, will have area of approx. 8,000 sqm. Its construction is to be finalized next year in autumn. ■

Budimex and Polimex-Mostostal are competing for general contracting of Bulwary Poznańskie. According to PREM's unofficial sources, Budimex Dromex and Polimex-Mostostal have the biggest chance of winning
a new tender, issued by Inter IKEA Centre Polska, concerning the construction of the “Bulwary Poznańskie” shopping center. The tender should be concluded this August.

Let us recall that the 1st stage of the investment in the area of Szwedzka and Krzywoustego streets in Poznań, designed by the Epstein office, will comprise the extension of the IKEA hypermarket (it will have an area of 30,000 sqm after the extension) and the construction of approx. 100 different stores on an area of 40,000 sqm. The main tenants will include Decathlon and Alma. The second stage of the investment is to comprise the construction of another 40,000 sqm of shopping-service space until 2011. ■

Atlas Ward will extend CH Ptak near Łódź by over 4,500 sqm. Atlas Ward has announced that they have signed a contract with the Centrum Handlowe Ptak shopping center concerning the extension of the complex in Rzgów near Łódź. The investment will comprise the designing and construction of a hall with an area of over 4,500 sqm. ■

Urbano will prepare retail investments in Żyrardów and Złocieniec. Poznań based company Urbano is preparing the construction of a shopping center on Mickiewicza St. in Żyrardów (Mazowieckie Voivodship), in the vicinity of a junction with Jaktorowska Street. The complex will be comprised of two buildings - a grocery supermarket with a total area of nearly 1,300 sqm (nearly 1,000 sqm net) and a discount furniture store.

Urbano is also working on the documentation of a retail outlet with an area of approx. 1,000 sqm, planned in Złocieniec (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship). The company representatives have not revealed exact location or the planned investment's schedule. ■

Consortium of PRZ-Byczbud-KRDA will modernize Sukiennice building in Krakow for 33 million PLN. The consortium of Przedsiębiorstwo Rewaloryzacji Zabytków, Byczbud and Konserwacja i Rekonstrukcja Detali Architektonicznych has won a tender for the modernization of the Sukiennice building on the Kraków Town Square. Sukiennice hosts retail outlets and art galleries. The value of the contract, ordered by the Management for Revalorization of Krakow Historical Buildings (Zarząd Rewaloryzacji Zespołów Zabytkowych Krakowa), will amount to 33 million PLN gross. The contract, the completion of which is to take 12 months, will comprise modernization of the ground floor and cellar with a total area of approx. 2,900 sqm. ■

Hill International seeks contractor for Tesco supermarket in Kostrzyn. Hill International is conducting the procedure of choosing a general contractor for Tesco supermarket in Kostrzyn (Lubuskie Voivodship). The building with an area of up to 2,000 sqm will be erected in the area of the Warniki residential complex on a land plot purchased from the local businessman, Ryszard Rzęsa. ■

Colliers International seeks contractor for Tesco supermarket in Łapy. Colliers International, on behalf of Tesco Polska, is conducting the procedure of choosing
a general contractor for a supermarket in Łapy (Podlaskie Voivodship). Works on the construction of the building with an area of 2,000 sqm are to begin in the 3rd quarter of this year. ■

P.A. Nova will build Netto supermarkets for approx.
20 million PLN. P.A. Nova has announced that on
30th July, they signed a contract with the Netto chain regarding the sale of a land plot and construction of
a supermarket there. It was reported that during the past year, the companies signed contracts worth, in total, over 19.6 million PLN gross. The biggest contract (nearly
8.5 million PLN), from last December, concerns the sale of rights to one of the land plots and construction of a store by 15th September. None of the land plots' locations have been revealed. ■

ZPK Targowisko seeks contractor for shopping center with area of 1,300 sqm in Opole. Until 18th August, Zrzeszenie Prywatnych Kupców “Targowisko” (ZPK Targowisko) in Opole will be collecting offers for the construction of 107 shopping pavilions with an area of over 12 sqm each (over 1,300 sqm in total). The investment is being supervised by the Kancelaria Prawna Buchert Gwiazda & Partner legal office. The tender is to be concluded by the end of August, and realization of the investment is to be finalized by 15th December of this year. ■

PRODUCTION AND WAREHOUSE OUTLETS

AIG will build “Diamond Business Park Toruń” logistics center, with 60,000 sqm of rentable area.
AIG Lincoln Polska has purchased 14 hectares of land on Grębocka St. in Lubicz Dolny near Toruń for the construction of a logistics center. The complex, named “Diamond Business Park Toruń”, which will be carried out in several stages, is going to have total net area of approx. 60,000 sqm. The first stage, the realization of which is to begin this autumn and end in the 1st quarter of next year, will comprise the construction of a building with rentable area of 10,000 sqm. ■

MC Kontrakty Budowlane will carry out production complex with area of 23,000 sqm for ABB. Earth works on the construction of the ABB factory began in July in Aleksandrów Łódzki. The general contractor of the factory is MC Kontrakty Budowlane. The complex, with area of 23,000 sqm, will be carried out according to the design prepared by Industria Baltic Group. ■

Baumat, Quartis and Metalbark plan construction of production plants on ca. 11 hectares of land in Bydgoszcz. A subzone of the Pomorze Special Economic Zone was created in the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park by government decree of 4th August. 11 hectares in the subzone have been reserved for the companies Baumat (Toruń based producer of prefabricated building materials), Quartis (local manufacturer of electronic cards) and Metalbark (company operating in the steel structures line of trade, located near Bydgoszcz).

Another approx. 3 hectares are to be purchased by Airon Investment. We have reported that the company is planning to carry out a production plant with area of approx. 6,000 sqm. All four investors are planning to employ approx. 400 people in total. ■

Portico acquired contract for managing construction of 16,500-sqm production-service complex in Kraków. Małopolska Agency for Regional Development has announced that Portico has been entrusted with the role of contract engineer for the construction of a complex of four production-service buildings with social premises on Nad Drwiną Street in Krakow. Other candidates for the contract were representatives of Tebodin SAP Projekt, Hill International and Bud Invent. The investment, the documentation of which has been prepared by the AB Projekt office, will comprise the construction of buildings with total area of 16,500 sqm and cubature of 133,000 meters3. ■

Atlas Ward will extend Hanke Tissue production complex in Kostrzyn on River Odra. Atlas Ward has announced that they had signed a contract with Hanke Tissue, concerning the extension of production complex in Kostrzyn on River Odra (Lubuskie Voivodship). The contract anticipates the realization of a hall with area of approx. 6,000 sqm. Let us recall that in PREM 492 we informed that the company applied for administrative consents for an investment in Kostrzyn. ■

Samsung is considering purchasing 16 hectares of land for extension of Amica white goods factory in Wronki. According to unofficial sources, representatives of the Korean concern Samsung are holding talks with the management of Amica, concerning the purchase of
a complex of the company's two factories in Wronki near Poznań. The transaction would include 16 hectares of undeveloped land in the area of Mickiewicza St., where the new investor could build another production plant. Representatives of both sides refuse to comment on the negotiations.

Let us recall that we have informed in PREM that Samsung was considering the construction of production plants first in the area of Radom, then Wrocław, and then Włocławek. ■

WCB EIT+ seeks contract engineer for laboratory-office buildings with area of 15,800 sqm in Wrocław. Until 14th September, Wrocławskie Centrum Badań EIT+ will be collecting offers with a deposit of 250,000 PLN in
a tender for the role of contract engineer on the realization of Dolnośląskie Center for Materials and Biomaterials on Stabłowicka St. in Wrocław. The investment will comprise the construction of a 6-story building with net area of 8,100 sqm and cubature of 33,400 meters3 and modernization of two buildings (8,700 sqm, 29,300 meters3). Design of the investment, which is to be finalized by 31st December 2016, has been prepared by the consortium of Kontrapunkt and TW Engineers. ■

Apex, Bimaxima, EuroCompass and El-Press will build factories in Lublin. ARP (Industrial Development Agency) has issued four new permits for business activity in the area of Europark Mielec in subzone Lublin. RBM Apex, producer of heaters and central heating boilers, will purchase a land plot with area of 0.8 hectare, spend
4.1 million PLN and employ 27 people. Bimaxima, operating in the biomedical sector, will carry out their investment on a land plot with area of 0.6 hectare, and EuroCompass and El-Press will take up 0.4 hectare each. The companies will purchase the plots in Lublin from the University of Natural Science (UP). ■

Unibud will build furniture center Esprit near Kościerzyn. In the 1st quarter of this year, Unibud obtained administrative decisions concerning the construction of
a warehouse hall of the Esprit bathroom furniture center in Wielki Klincz near Kościerzyn (Pomorskie Voivodship). The investment will comprise the construction of a hall with area of over 1,800 sqm. ■

OFFICE BUILDINGS

Day & Johnson will manage construction of Grupa Onet office complex with area of app. 40,000 sqm in Krakow. Day&Johnson has been chosen for project manager in the realization of the new headquarters of Grupa Onet in Krakow-Podgórze, within the Special Economic Zone (SSE). As we have informed, the investment will comprise the realization of a complex with area of building development amounting to over 13,600 sqm, with three above-ground stories (total area of approx. 40,000 sqm), which will be taken up by offices and multimedia production studios, as well as two underground levels, appropriated for garages. Design of the investment has been prepared by the local office IMB Asymetria. ■

A-M-P Studio and Andrzej Winnicki are designing
200 meters' tall office-apartment complex in Warsaw. A-M-P Studio, in cooperation with the architect Andrzej Winnicki, has prepared a concept for a complex of two connected skyscrapers which would be erected in Warsaw between the lanes of Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie Street. The buildings, planned on a land plot formerly owned by RWE Stoen, are to be 200 meters' and 54 stories' tall. At the same time, a natural person whose name has not been revealed has applied for issuing a decision regarding environmental conditions for the investment. As we have informed, a WZiZT (building development conditions) application for an 80-story building with office, hotel and apartment functions had been submitted earlier, but it has been withdrawn. ■

APP Projekt seeks contractor for office building with area of 13,000 sqm in Warsaw. In the past few weeks it was announced that PBG Dom took over shared in Concept Development, company that is making preparations for the development of land plot at the junction of Grzybowska and Karolkowa streets in Warsaw. Tender for general contractor of the building is conducted by APP Projekt. Realization of a building with area of approx. 13,000 sqm and cubature of 46,000 meters3 is planned according to the design prepared by FS&P Arcus.

Talks are currently in progress with banks willing to finance the construction of the building. Tomasz Hofman, president of PBG Dom, announced that commercialization of the office building will be carried out in a fashion never used in Warsaw before. ■

Mermaid issued tender for construction of office complex with net area of over 25,000 sqm in Warsaw. Until the end of August, Mermaid Properties will be collecting offers in a tender for general contracting of Libra Business Centre, which they are planning to carry out in cooperation with the Spanish group Aiga Investments at the junction of Jerozolimskie Av. and Gottlieba Daimlera streets in Warsaw. The complex, designed by the S.A.M.I. Architekci office, will be comprised of two buildings, the bigger of which, with net area of approx. 15,000 sqm, will be appropriated for lease, and the smaller one (approx. 10,000 sqm) - for the new headquarters of the Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN publishing house. Realization of the investment, the commercialization of which has been entrusted to CB Richard Ellis and Jones Jang LaSalle agencies, is to be finalized in 2011. ■

Dombud signed a contract worth 27.9 million PLN for construction of Customs Office building in Katowice. Last week it was announced that Dorbud signed a contract worth 27.9 million PLN gross, concerning general contracting of an office building of the Customs Office building on Słoneczna St. in Katowice. Other candidates for the contract were PBUiT Śląsk, Bielskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego, Mostostal Kraków, HB-Unibud, Gliwickie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego and ŁęgPrzem.

The investment will comprise the construction of office building with area of 6,200 sqm and cubature of 32,000 meters3. Realization of the investment, the documentation of which has been prepared by Czechowice based office Pro-Arch-2, will take 36 months. ■

Warsaw Technical University (PW) seeks architect for research center with area of 17,200 sqm. 2nd September is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 200,000 PLN, concerning the development of design for the Center for Advanced Materials and Technology “Cezamat” at the Warsaw Technical Uiversity (PW). According to the functional programme prepared by Wrocław based office Predom, the investment will comprise the construction of a 6-story building with area of 17,200 sqm and cubature of 82,200 meters3 on Narbutta Street. Realization of the contract is to take 13 months. ■

PWST seeks general contractor for education building wth area of approx. 14,000 sqm in Wrocław. 31st August is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 400,000 PLN in a tender for general contracting of the extension of the State Higher Theater School (PWST) on Braniborska St. in Wrocław. A building with area of nearly 14,000 sqm and cubature of over 54,000 meters3 will be erected on the basis of design by the KKM Kozień Architekci office. The substitute investor on the realization of the investment is going to be ECM Group. Works on the realization of the building will take 21 months. ■

ITP seeks architect and contractor for teaching complex with area of 14,000 sqm in Rzeszów. Until
24th August, Św. Józef Sebastian Pelczar Theology and Pastoral Institute (ITP) will be collecting applications regarding admission to tender for the designing and realization of a teaching building and a students' hotel on Witolda Street. 7 contractors will be invited to submitting offers with a deposit of 1.5 million PLN. The complex of two 3-story buildings with total area of 14,000 sqm and cubature of 62,000 meters3 is to be carried out by the end of December 2012. The investment has received a subsidy from the Regional Operational Program for Podkarpackie Voivodship. ■

Wielkopolskie Voivodeship's Marshall's Office seeks architect for office building with area of 18,000 sqm.
4th September is the deadline for submitting applications regarding admission to contest concerning the development of design for the seat of the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship's Marshall's and Sejmik Office in Poznań. The building with area of approx. 18,000 sqm is to be erected on a land plot with area of 0.5 hectare on Niepodległości Av. The author of the winning concept will receive 150,000 PLN and will be invited to negotiations concerning the development of detailed designs. ■

Teaching-sports complex with area of 10,000 sqm will be built in Kostrzyn. Until 20th August, District Starost's Office in Gorzów Wielkopolski (Lubuskie Voivodeship) will be collecting offers with a deposit of 400,000 PLN, concerning the contracting of the Regional Vocational Education Center in Kostrzyn on River Odra. The investment will comprise the construction of two teaching buildings with total area of 7,200 sqm and cubature of 37,400 meters3 and a sports hall (2,700 sqm and 17,200 meters3) on Wodna Street. Works, based on the design by Dominiczak&Szczuraszek office from Ostrów, are to be carried out by 30th June 2011. ■

Budimex Dromex will carry out teaching building in Białystok for 20.4 million PLN. The authorities of Medical University in Białystok have announced that Budimex Dromex had been chosen for general contractor of the Euroregional Pharmacy Center on Mickiewicza St. Other candidates for the contract were: Mostostal Warszawa, Unibep, Warbud, Mitex and a consortium under the direction of John Sisk&Son Ltd.

The contract worth 20.4 million PLN gross will comprise the construction of a 4-story building with total area of approx. 8,000 sqm and cubature of over 33,000 meters3. Works on the realization of the investment, designed by Karts, will take 2 years. ■

PRO Studio Projektowe will prepare design of teaching complex with area of 5,800 sqm in Toruń. The authorities of the city Toruń have entrusted Poznań based Studio Projektowe PRO with the development of documentation for a teaching complex in the Bielawy-Głębocin residential district. The three-story building with area of 5,800 sqm and cubature of 30,000 meters3 will be based on a concept by the ComProjekt office from Toruń. Realization of the task is to be completed by 16th November of this year. ■

PAM in Szczecin seeks contractor for teaching building with area of 5,000 sqm. 21st August is the deadline for submitting offers for the construction of the New Medical Technologies Center at the Pomorze Medical Academy on Unii Lubelskiej St. in Szczecin. Design documentation of the 5-story building with area of 5,000 sqm and cubature of 25,000 meters3 has been prepared by Szczecin based office “Atrium”. The investment, worth approx. 6.9 million EUR, is to be finalized at the end of 2011. ■

ERA seeks general contractor for extension of office building up to area of 3,200 sqm. Until 30th August, Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe ERA will be collecting offers for general contracting of extension and modernization of office building on Katowicka St. in Chorzów. The building, designed by Katowice based office Archidea, will have area of 3,200 sqm and cubature 14,400 meters3. ■

PKM Inwest is planning realization of office complex with usable area of 1,800 sqm in Poznań. PKM Inwest is planning the realization of two A-class office buildings on 114 Piątkowska St. in Poznań. Currently, the company is choosing architect for the complex with usable area of 1,800 sqm. According to our sources, it will probably be Poznań based architect Szymon Januszewski. ■

WSP seeks contractor for office-research complex with area of 5,800 sqm. Higher Police School (WSP) has issued a tender for the construction of the Police Analytical and Research Center in Szczytno (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship). The plans anticipate realization of a complex with usable area of approx. 5,800 sqm. Cost of the investment is estimated at over 71 million PLN. Offers, along with a deposit of 200,000 PLN, are to be submitted by 3rd September. The investment, designed by the Profkad office, is to be finalized by 30th June 2011. ■

Budimex Dromex will modernize, for 12 million PLN, education complex in Olsztyn. Budimex Dromex has won a tender for modernization of the Dairy and Food quality Research Center on Oczapowskiego St. in Olsztyn. Value of the contract ordered by the Warmińsko-Mazurski University will amount ot 12 million PLN gross. The cheapest offer, with the price of 11.7 million PLN, has been made by Termobud, but it was canceled. The works will comprise extension of the building with current area of 3,900 sqm up to nearly 6,500 sqm. Documentation of the investment has been prepared by Pracownia Projektowa Akon. ■

Wrocław Technical University seeks contractor for modernization of building with area of 3,300 sqm. 11th August is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 180,000 PLN, concerning the realization of overhaul in the B-9 building of the Wrocław Technical University (PW) on Łukasiewicza St. Documentation for the modernization of building with area of 3,300 sqm and cubature of 22,500 meters3 has been prepared by Szczecin based office Atelier XXI. Realization of the contract is to take 140 days. ■

PSP District Command in Żagań seeks contractor for buildings with area of 2,900 sqm. District Command of the State Fire Brigades (PSP) in Żagań (Lubuskie Voivodeship) is planning the construction of new headquarters on Nowogródzka Street. Design documentation of the complex comprised of 3 buildings with total area of 2,900 sqm and cubature of 15,200 meters3 has been prepared by Gorzów based office Dom.
A contracting tender is currently in progress, and the realization of the investment is to be finalized by 26th February 2010. ■

Zambet wants to build kindergarten in Stare Babice for over 6.7 million PLN. 9 offers have been submitted in
a tender issued by the authorities of the Stare Babice commune (Mazowieckie Voivodeship), concerning the construction of a kindergarten in Blizne Jasieńskiego. The cheapest offer, with the price of over 6.7 million PLN gross, has been made by Pułtusk based Zambet. Other participants of the tender are Dorbud (8.2 million PLN), Flisbud (8.9 million PLN), Instalbud (7 million PLN), Remex (7.9 million PLN), Winnicki (7.8 million PLN), Orpa Wołomin (7.6 million PLN), PBM Południe
(8.4 million PLN) and Wid-Bas Konstancin Jeziorna
(7.8 million PLN).

The investment, designed by the PBJ Architekci office, will comprise the realization of a building with area of 2,300 sqm and cubature of 9,500 meters3. Realization of the contract is to be finalized by the end of May of the next year. ■

HOUSING INVESTMENTS

Polnord will build service-apartment complex with area of 50,000 sqm on 2.3 hectares of land in Gdańsk. Polnord has obtained exclusive right to hold negotiations with the authorities of Gdańsk, regarding the development of 2.3 hectares of land on the Spichrzów Island. The investor, i.e. company established as public-private partnership by the city, which will bring in the land, and developer, is going to develop nearly whole northern part of the island (with the exception of some areas by the shore, belonging to Grupo Lábaro). According to preliminary assumptions, the investment will comprise the construction of a service-apartment complex with usable area of approx. 50,000 sqm, including the museum of amber.

Negotiations concerning details of the investment will last until November, and it is then that the preliminary contract will be signed. Urbanistic and architectural concept is to be prepared in the following four months, and evaluated by the local authorities within the following two months. 14 days after the plans are approved, i.e. around the middle of next year, the final contract will be signed. ■

Skaland will build complex with approx. 700 flats and houses on 30 hectares of land in Koninko. Poznań based company Skaland is beginning the realization of the “Nowe Koninko” residential complex in Koninko in Kurnik commune (Wielkopolskie Voivodeship). The 1st stage of the investment, which will be finalized next year in October, will comprise the construction of 16 single-family houses with total area of 2,200 sqm. The 2nd stage (by October 2011) will comprise the construction of 68 houses, 112 flats and a kindergarten and shopping center. The final two stages are to comprise the construction of 215 houses and 285 flats. Documentation of the investment, which is situated on a land plot with area of 30 hectares, has been prepared by Poznańska Grupa Projektowa Kombinat. ■

PGB Dom will build complex with approx. 320 flats in Gdańsk. Works on the realization of the 1st stage (approx. 70 flats) of the “Dolina Potęgowska” residential complex will begin in the next few weeks in Gdańsk-Szadółki. The developer of the investment, which is to comprise 280 flats in total, is PBG Dom.

PBG Dom's second residential project in Gdańsk is going to be an apartment complex with 40 flats in the Orunia district. PBG Dom took over both investments, the value of which is estimated at 60-70 million PLN, from City Development. ■

BTBS is planning realization of buildings with approx. 215 flats in Bydgoszcz. Bydgoszcz based Social Building Association (BTBS) is conducting two architectural contests concerning the concept for multi-family building development on land plots on Bortnowskiego St. (nearly 0.8 hectare) and Leona Posłusznego St. (over 1 hectare). The former location is to have approx. 115 flats (30-60 sqm), the latter - over 90. The tender winners, who will be entrusted with development of documentation for the investments, will be chosen this September. ■

Eurobudownictwo will carry out residential complex with 170 flats in Trzebnica. Fambud began, as general contractor, realization of the “Brama Trębaczy” residential complex in the area of Obornicka and Marcinowska streets in Trzebnica (Dolnośląskie Voivodship). The investor is Eurobudownictwo, and the design of the complex has been prepared by Joanna Woziwodzka's office Studio Pro. The investment will comprise the construction of a complex with 3-4-story buildings, with 170 flats with usable area of 30-80 sqm (approx. 9,000 sqm in total). Realization of the investment will take 20 months. ■

Atelier Zetta will design building with approx. 100 service and residential buildings in Warsaw-Białołęka. The authorities of Białołęka district of Warsaw have chosen the offer of Białystok based architectural office Atelier Zetta in a tender for the development of documentation for a communal building in Marywilska St. Let us recall that the investment will comprise the construction of a 6-story building, with office-service premises on the ground floor and nearly 80 flats on upper floors. Realization of the contract is to be finalized in May 2010. Another building of similar size will be erected in the following few years. ■

Attis Development seeks contractor for shell structure of 2 multi-family buildings in Warsaw. until 20th August, Attis Development will be collecting offers for the construction of shell structure of two multi-family buildings on Fasolowa St. in Warsaw. Design of buildings with total area of 5,500 sqm has been prepared by the Architekton office. ■

TBS Nowy Dom seeks contractor for residential complex with area of 6,400 sqm. Until 27th August, Lublin based TBS Nowy Dom will be collecting offers with a deposit of 150,000 PLN, concerning the contractorship of three multi-family buildings (84 flats) on Zygmunta Augusta Street. Design documentation of buildings with total area of 6,400 sqm and cubature of 18,000 meters3 has been prepared by the Inwestprojekt Lublin office. The works are to take 14 months. ■

Kubatura and Archika will design buildings with approx. 80 flats in Koszalin. The authorities of Koszalin (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship) have concluded two tenders for the development of documentation for multi-family buildings. Kubatura office will acquire contract worth 135,000 PLN gross for the development of documentation for an investment in the area of Modrzejewskiej and Gnieźnieńska streets, while Archika will design, for 132,000 PLN gross, a building on Lechicka St. Each of the locations will have approx. 40 flats with area of 40-50 sqm. Realization of the contracts is to take
5 months. ■

WAM seeks contractor for residential building with area of 4,000 sqm in Poznań. Krakow division of the Military Housing Agency (WAM) has issued a tender for the construction of a residential building with 56 flats on Lwowska St. in Przemyśl. Realization of the 5-story building with area of 4,000 sqm and cubature of 17,800 meters3, designed by Racibórz based office Inwestprojekt, is to take 14 months. Offers with a deposit of 100,000 PLN will be collected until 25th August. ■

ZBM seeks architect for construction of residential complex in Gliwice, worth approx. 10 million PLN. Until 10th August, Zarząd Budynków Miejskich II Towarzystwo Budownictwa Społecznego will be collecting applications regarding admission to contest for an architectural concept for development of land plot on Targowa St. in Gliwice (Śląskie Voivodship). The investment is to comprise the realization of two multi-family buildings; the expected cost of the project amounts to 9.9 million PLN gross. ■

In September, Widzew TBS in Łódź will choose contractor for multi-family building with 52 flats. Until 25th August, Widzew Social Building Association (Widzewskie TBS) will be collecting offers with a deposit of 200,000 PLN, concerning the realization of a building with 52 flats and a kindergarten on the ground floor, on Billewiczówny St. in Łódź. Design documentation of the 4-story building with area of 3,200 sqm has been prepared by Pabianice based Przedsiębiorstwo Inwestycyjne IBAR. The works are to be finalized within the period of
12 months. ■

HOTELS AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS

RTM will build hotel complex with area of 5,400 sqm in Prusim according to design by Kontur. On 5th August, an application was submitted regarding permission for the construction of a conference-hotel complex in the area of the former farm in Prusim in the Kwilicz commune (Wielkopolskie Voivodship). The developer of the investment is RTM, a company oned by the Makiewicz family, and the design was prepared by Studio Architektury Kontur.

The investment will comprise the demolition of some of the existing buildings, modernization and adaptation of others for new purposes, and construction of one new building. After the realization of the investment, which will be carried out in 2-3 stages, the total usable area of all the buildings will amount to approx. 5,400 sqm. ■

Erbud, Strabag, RD Bud are competing for contract for construction of 4-star hotel in Toruń. According to PREM's unofficial sources, 5 companies competing for the contract for the construction of a 4-star hotel in Toruń include Erbud, Strabag and RD Bud.

The investor of the hotel with an area of 4,200 sqm, planned at the junction of Popiełuszki and Bulwar Filadelfijski streets, is Bydgoszcz based company L&P. Design of the hotel was prepared by the Gdynia based office CKK Architekci. ■

Stelmach&Partnerzy preparing design of 4-story hotel in Straszęcin. Lublin based office Stelmach&Partnerzy has acquired a contract for the development of detailed designs for a 4-star hotel with around 150 rooms along with
a sports center and a complex of training football pitches in Straszęcin (Podkarpackie Voivodship). Preliminary architectural concept of the complex has been prepared by Rzeszów based office MWM.

The cost of the investment, which is to be co-financed from EU funds, is estimated at 90 million PLN. Preparations for the investment are being supervised by Piotr Korczak, director of the Recreation Center (Ośrodek Wypoczynkowy) in Arłamów. The complex will be put into use at the turn of 2011/2012 and is to serve as one of the training locations for the participants of the Euro2012 Football Championship. ■

Lotos will soon choose contractors for four Travelers' Service Centers. In the nearest future, Lotos Paliwa is planning to announce the names of contractors of four Travelers' Service Centers (MOP). The complexes will be erected in Police (Wielkopolskie Voivodship) and Łęka (Łódzkie Voivodship) by the A2 motorway, as well as in Rachowice and Kozłów (Śląskie Voivodship) by the
A4 motorway. The first of these locations will be a MOP of 3rd category, with a motel, gas station and a restaurant, and the other locations - of 2nd category, i.e. without the motel section. Organization of restaurant infrastructure will be handled by McDonald's, with whom a contract was signed in January; talks with the hotel operators are still in progress. The construction works are to begin this September, and the centers should be put into use on the beginning of 2010. ■

Cimolai, Mostostal Zabrze and Hightex will build roof and facade of National Stadium for app. 400 mln PLN. The consortium whose leader is the Italian company Cimolai, and members - Mostostal Zabrze-Holding and German company Hightex, has signed a contract worth over 400 million PLN gross with Alpine Construction and Hydrobudowa Polska concerning the construction and installation of roofing and façade at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The completion of the contract, in which the Polish company's share amounts to approx. 85 million PLN (this amount will be increased by the payment for additional works covered by later arrangements), is to last until 20th April 2011. ■

Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex offers to build Kaszubska Philharmonics for 48.1 million PLN. Offers from companies competing for a contract for the construction of Kaszubska Philharmonics on Sobieskiego St. in Wejherowo (Pomorskie Voivodship) were opened last week. The lowest offer, with the price of 48.1 million PLN gross, has been made by Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex. Other candidates for the contract are Warbud (48.4 million PLN), Mirbud (48.5 million PLN), Elektrobudowa
(48.8 million PLN), Mostostal Warszawa (49.5 million PLN), PBR Żak (49.1 million PLN), Unibep-Allcon
(53.9 million PLN), PORR (56.7 million PLN), B&W
(58 million PLN), Hydrobudowa Gdańsk (63.3 million PLN) and Pol Aqua (71.9 million PLN).

The building with an area of 6,500 sqm and cubature of 53,500 meters3 has been designed by the consortium established by Opole based companies “Biuro Inżynierskie” and “Arch-Studio”. The investment should be finalized in September 2010. ■

Łódź authorities seek architect for football stadium for 35,000 spectators. 14th August is the deadline for submitting applications regarding admission to contest, issued by the authorities of Łódź, concerning the development of an architectural concept of the City Stadium on Unii Lubelskiej Street. The stadium for approx. 35,000 spectators, which will meet UEFA requirements, will constitute a part of the Regional Recreation-Sports-Conference Center, which is being built in Łódź. The deadline for submitting contest designs falls on 20th October of this year. We have informed In PREM that Maryland Real Estate was interested in co-financing the investment. ■

Koszalin authorities seek architect for aqua park worth 73 million PLN. 13th August is the deadline for submitting applications to the Sports Centers Management (ZOS) in Koszalin regarding admission to contest for the development of an architectural and urbanistic concept for the water recreation complex worth approx. 73 million PLN. The aqua park is to be erected on a land plot with an area of 7.8 hectares in the area of Gdańska, Rolna and Kopernika streets. It will include roofed and open-air swimming pools with total area of approx. 1,200 sqm and
a hotel with 100 beds. The concepts in the contest are to be sent in by 16th November of this year. ■

Intech makes lowest offer for designing roofed swimming pool with area of 4,900 sqm in Lublin. The authorities of Lublin have chosen the offer by Poznań based company Intech, with the price of 287,000 PLN gross, in a tender for the development of design documentation for a roofed swimming pool on Łabędzia Street. The design of the building with an area of 4,900 sqm and cubature of 25,000 meters3, based on the ABS Technologie function programme, is to be ready by 20th December of this year. ■

EB Mitex, Skanska, Warbud among companies invited to tender for construction of swimming pool in Barcin. Five companies (Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex, Skanska, Warbud, Alstal and Przemysłówka Olsztyn) have been invited to submit offers for the construction of a roofed swimming pool in Barcin (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship). The investment will comprise the construction of a complex of swimming pools with the main pool sized 25 x 12.5m. Documentation of the complex, situated by the primary school No. 2, in the area of Artylerzystów and Wojciechowskiego streets, has been prepared by the Ptaszyński Rubin Architekci office. ■

Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe Lech offers to build roofed swimming pool in Nakło for 14.6 million PLN. Last week it was announced that Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe Lech had made the lowest offer, with the price of 14.6 million PLN, in a tender for the construction of a roofed swimming pool in the Osiedle Kazimierza Wielkiego residential complex in Nakło on River Noteć (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship). Other candidates for the contract were EB Mitex, Budopol and Alstal. The companies Nickel and Novum Management were excluded from the tender due to formal reasons.

The investment, the investor of which is the City Office, and the supervising inspector - Bydgoszcz based Przedsiębiorstwo Obsługi Inwestycyjnej - will comprise the construction of a center with a total area of 4,000 sqm (2,400 sqm of usable area) and cubature of 20,600 meters3. The works, scheduled to last 42 months, will be carried out according to the design by the APA Archis office. ■

USD seeks author for concept of modernization of hospital buildings with area of 56,000 sqm in Krakow. 27th August is the deadline for submitting offers with
a deposit of 24,000 PLN, concerning the development of concept for the modernization of the University Children's Hospital (USD) on Wielicka St. in Krakow. The contract will comprise preparing a thorough evaluation of functions and structure of buildings with a total area of 56,000 sqm, as well as offering function, program and usability solutions. The contract, worth approx. 820,000 PLN, is to be carried out by 10th December of this year. ■

Fortunet-Eltar consortium will build sports hall in Wadowice for 10.3 million PLN. The authorities of Wadowice (Małopolskie Voivodship) have hired the consortium of Krakow based companies Fortunet and Eltar to carry out, for 10.3 million PLN, the construction of
a sports hall and modernization of a diner at the Public Schools Complex No. 3. The works on buildings with
a total area of 2,500 sqm will be based on the design by the AT Architektura office. ■

Dom Kultury KADR center with area of 3,100 sqm will be built in Warsaw-Mokotów. Until 18th August, the authorities of the Mokotów district of Warsaw will be collecting applications regarding admission to architectural contest concerning the development of a concept for the Dom Kultury KADR cultural center. According to preliminary assumptions, a building with a usable area of approx. 3,100 sqm will be erected on Rzymowskiego St. The winner of the contest will receive 40,000 PLN and will be invited to negotiations concerning the development of detailed designs. The deadline for submitting the concepts falls on 2nd November of this year. ■

ZOZ MSWiA seeks architect for modernization of buildings with area of 16,700 sqm. Until 1st September, Zakład Opieki ZdrowotneJ MSWiA (Health Care Center) in Łódź will be collecting offers with a deposit of 8,000 PLN, concerning the development of concept and design documentation for the modernization of hospital buildings designated “A” (area 12,600 sqm, cubature 47,000 meters3) and “B” (area 4,100 sqm, cubature 24,000 meters3 on Północna Street. Completion of the contract is to take
112 days. ■

Tehand-3J will carry out modernization of medical center in Tuchola for 10.7 million PLN. The consortium established by Tehand and 3J signed a contract worth
10.7 million PLN net concerning extension and modernization of buildings on Nowodworskiego St., belonging to Tuchola Hospital (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship). Design documentation of the investment with a total area of 6,500 sqm and cubature of 20,000 meters3 has been prepared by the WAW office from Włocławek. The works are to be finalized by 31st December 2010. ■

Warsaw authorities seek contractor for modernization of a sports complex. Warsaw Property Management (Zarząd Mienia m. st. Warszawy) has issued a tender for the realization of the 2nd stage of modernization of tennis courts on 4 Myśliwiecka Street. The contract includes modernization of A and B stands with a total area of 4,400 sqm and cubature of 20,700 meters3. Offers with a deposit of 300,000 PLN are to be submitted by the end of August. Completion of the investment is to take 12 months. The 1st part of the investment has been carried out by Ciałbud. ■

Grupa 3J will extend medical center in Limanowa for 9 million PLN. Management of the Limanowa District Hospital (Małopolskie Voivodship) has hired Grupa 3J as general contractor of the new surgery ward. The building with an area of 1,900 sqm and cubature of 8,000 meters3, designed by Krakow based office Pro-Medicus, will be put into use at the end of 2010. ■

Sosnowiec City Hospital seeks contractor for modernization of building with area of 3,300 sqm. 12th August is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 130,000 PLN to the Sosnowiec City Hospital (Śląskie Voivodship) concerning the modernization of building on Zegadłowicza St. for the purposes of the Sosnowiec Mother-Baby Care Center.

Works in the building with an area of 3,300 sqm and cubature of 14,500 meters3 are to take 9 months. Design documentation of the investment has been prepared by Sucha Beskidzka based office Biuro Architekt Kaczmarczyk. ■

Narodowy Instytut F. Chopina ordered contract worth 16 mln PLN for modernization of museum to Winnicki. Sochaczew based company Winnicki has signed second contract for the modernization of museum in Żelazowa Wola (Mazowieckie Voivodship) for the purposes of Narodowy Institut Fryderyka Chopina (F. Chopin National Institute). The previous contract (32.8 million PLN) had been signed last August. The design of the investment has been prepared by the Stelmach i Partnerzy office. ■

Restauro and consortium with ASP admitted to tender for designing reconstruction of Krzyżtopór castle. Three applications have been submitted in a limited tender issued by the authorities of the Iwaniska commune (Świętokrzyskie Voivodship) concerning the adaptation of 17th century Krzyżtopór castle in Ujezd for tourism purposes.

Toruń based Restauro and a consortium with Warsaw based Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) and members: ZK Furmanek, ZAK Gołębnik, SA Kuls, APP Kraków and KB Projekty Konstrukcyjne have been invited to participate in the tender. Kielce based Agat has been excluded from the next stage. The contract will comprise the evaluation of the historical building's condition, development of the design for conservation works and carrying out restoration works. The works are to be finalized by 21st March 2011. ■

Pebex will modernize sports hall in Jelenia Góra for over 8.6 million PLN. Kolegium Karkonoskie College has chosen the offer by Pebex in a tender for modernization and extension of sports hall in the school complex on Lwówecka St. in Jelenia Góra. The value of the contract will amount to over 8.6 million PLN gross. The works will be carried out in a building with total area of 2,800 sqm and cubature of 18,300 meters3. The investment is to be finalized by 10th January 2011.

Other participants of the tender were PB Strykowski (8.9 million PLN), Skanska (9.4 million PLN), Janbud
(9.1 million PLN), and Arkop (12.3 million PLN). Offers by Oz-Bud, Pre-Fabrykat and Cezbet have been rejected. ■

Sombud will build sports hall in Gdynia for 7.1 million PLN. The authorities of Gdynia have ordered a contract worth 7.1 million PLN gross to Sombud concerning the construction of a sports hall at the Primary School No. 18 on Krasickiego St. Works on the hall with an area of
1,200 sqm and cubature of 8,600 meters3 is to be finalized by 30th June of next year. ■

INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS

GDDKiA seeks contractors for A2 motorway between Kowal and Kotliska. Łódź Division of the General Management of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has issued two limited tenders for the construction of the A2 motorway. The first tender, with
a deposit of 6 million PLN, in which applications regarding admission can be submitted until 31st August, concerns the construction of 30 km of the road between the Kowal and Sójki junctions. The second tender (deposit 3 million PLN) concerns the construction of 16 km of the road between Sójki and Kotliska, and applications regarding admission can be submitted until 28th August. Works of both contracts are to be finalized by 30th April 2012. ■

Redan consortium will design downtown Katowice for 5.5 million PLN. The consortium of Szczecin based company Redan, Apia XXI SA from Spain, Warsaw based Apia XXI, Biprokom-Kraków and Katowice based Ec-One has won a tender for the design of public spaces and transport routes in downtown Katowice, along Korfantego Av. Documentation, worth 5.5 million PLN, will include the construction of the Multi-Functional City Center, new tramway tracks on Św. Jana Street and a system of streets, city squares and parking lots. ■

Wrocławskie Inwestycje seek contractor for road works worth 146 million PLN. The authorities of Wrocław, represented by the company Wrocławskie Inwestycje, have issued a tender for the modernization of a section of Lotnicza Street in the course of National Road No. 94 and construction of Drzymały Street in a new location, between National Road No. 94 and the planned parking lot at the City Stadium in Wrocław. The deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 1.5 million PLN falls on
9th September of this year. Design documentation of the investment, worth approx. 146 million PLN, has been prepared by Wrocław based office Biproego. ■

19 applications regarding construction of western ring road for Poznań have been submitted. The following companies and consortia have submitted applications regarding admission to tender for the construction of the 2nd stage of the western ring road for Poznań, issued by GDDKiA (General Management of National Roads and Motorways): Dragados; Budimex-Dromex; J&P Avax; Bilfinger Berger; MSF Moniz Da Maia-Energopol Szczecin; Impresa Cavalleri Ottavio; SRB Civil Engineering; Mostostal Warszawa-Acciona; Max Bogl; Berger Bau; Warbud; Colas Polska -Strabag; Skanska-Intercor; Aprivia-PBG-Alpine Bau; Pol Dróg-Mosty Łódź-Ferocco; Eurovia; PTB Nickel-IC Construction; Hermann Kirchner-Zueblin and Mota Engil.

The investment comprises the construction, on the basis of documentation prepared by the consortium of Schmidt Strumpf Fruhauf und Partner Ingenieuregesellschalf with Europrojekt Gdańsk, of 7.7 km of the road, constituting a part of the S11 road. Completion of the task is to take 15 months. ■

Gdynia authorities seek contractor for modernization of road infrastructure for 95 million PLN. Until 8th September, offers with a deposit of 2 million PLN, concerning the modernization of Św. Maksymiliana Junction along with the construction of a tunnel underneath the Droga Gdyńska road, will be collected at the Gdynia City Office. The works, worth approx. 95 million PLN, to be carried out on the basis of documentation prepared by Gdynia based Biuro Projektów Budownictwa Komunalnego, will take approx. 24 months. ■

DSDiL issues tender for construction of National Road No. 94 between Bielany and Długołęka. Dolnośląska Służba Dróg i Kolei (DSDiK) in Wrocław has issued
a tender for the construction of the 3rd and 4th stage of eastern lane of Voivodship Road No. 94 between Bielany-Lany-Długołęka, along with the construction of road junctions. Applications regarding admission to tender (deposit 4 million PLN) will be collected until 24th August. Realization of the investment, designed by the Biproego and Jacobs Polska offices, is to be finalized by 31st January 2013. ■

PRDM and Poldim will extend voivodship roads No. 969 and 977 for 77.5 million PLN. Voivodship Roads Management (ZDW) in Krakow has ordered a contract worth 48 million PLN gross to Nowy Sącz based Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowo-Mostowych concerning the extension of Voivodship Road No. 969 (DW 969) between Nowy Targ-Krościenko-Stary Sącz. Meanwhile, the consortium of companies Poldim and Godrom has acquired a contract worth 29.5 million PLN gross for the modernization of Voivodship Road No. 977 between Tarnów and Konieczna. ■

GDDKiA seeks contractor for modernization of National Road No. 2 between Zakręt and Mińsk Maz. Until 11th September, Warsaw Division of the General Management of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) will be collecting offers with a deposit of
1 million PLN concerning the modernization of National Road No. 2 between Zakręt and Mińsk Mazowiecki. The investment, which is to be finalized by 30th November 2010, will comprise modernization of 21 km of the road. ■

Energopol will build ring road for Szczurowa, worth
51 million PLN. Voivodship Roads Management (Zarząd Dróg Wojewódzkich) in Krakow has hired Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Inżynieryjnego Energopol to update the design and build a ring road for Szczurowa (Mazowieckie Voivodship), in the course of Voivodship Road No. 768. The works, worth 51 million PLN gross, will take 26 months. Other candidates for the contract were ABM Solid-Polbud Pomorze, Poldim-Mota Engil and Strabag. ■

In September, PKP will choose general contractor for modernization of E 65 railway route. Until 7th September, PKP (Polish Rail) will be collecting offers with a deposit of 19 million PLN concerning the modernization of E 65 Warsaw-Gdynia railway route. The works will be carried out on the section of the route between Mława and Montowo and will also comprise overhaul of Iłowo, Działdowo, Gralewo, Rybno Pomorskie and Montowo train stations. Completion of the contract is to take 20 months. ■

Tobin Consulting Engineers will design, for 960,000 PLN, sewage system in Łomianki commune. Water Supply and Sewage Systems (Zakład Wodociągów
i Kanalizacji, ZWiK) management in Łomianki (Mazowieckie Voivodship) has hired the Irish company Tobin Consulting Engineers to prepare documentation for water supply and sewage system works in the town and commune of Łomianki (104 km in total and
28 intermediate pumping stations) and to develop a concept of such network for the areas of Kiełpin and Dziekanów Leśny. Works on the contract worth 960,000 PLN net are to last until the end of this year. Other candidates for the contract were Apia XXI-Redan (1.74 million PLN net), Biatel (1.49 million PLN net) and Biprowid Warszawa (3.25 million PLN net). ■

Warbud and Doraco will carry out infrastructure works in Gdańsk for 38 million PLN. Gdańska Infrastruktura Wodociągowo-Kanalizacyjna (Gdańsk Water Supply and Sewage Systems) has ordered two contracts concerning the realization of infrastructure tasks in Gdańsk. The consortium of Warbud and Soega will modernize, for over 20 million PLN, the Migowo intermediate pumping station, and will build a sewage main connecting the Kiełpino reservoir with the Gdańsk sewage system.

The second contract, worth 17.7 million PLN, ordered to the consortium of Doraco and Pharmagas, concerns connecting the Osowa district to the Gdańsk sewage system. Realization of both tasks is to be completed by 30th November 2011. ■

GC Investment has put to sale 1.3 hectares of land in Katowice for construction of supermarket or residential complex. In July, GC Investment put for sale a land plot with an area of nearly 1.3 hectares, situated on
4 Wincentego Witosa Street in Katowice. According to the WZiZT (building development conditions) decision, the plot is appropriated for the construction of a complex of multi-family buildings or a retail outlet. ■
