26 PRO)ECT FIVE • 8EA0E0 AMULET PURSES
Be surę to puli the warp threads close to the woven beads as you begin decreasing the back portion of the bag. You may have to move these warp threads in cios* er to weave them in snugly. Upon reaching the top of graph two, the main body of the purse is complete and the weaving should resemble an hourglass.
To weave the flap. String the beads of the first row of the flap on graph three and take the needle over both the seventh and sixth warp thread (figurę 3). Then take the beads under the warp threads and loom as usual. Weave as per graph three.

To finish. Now that all the weaving is done, remove the beadwork from the loom. Fold the loomwork up so the bottom of the purse is the single bead. Holding the loose ends of each warp thread, puli them up until the loops of warp thread at the sides of the bottom are gone and the beads are snug up against each other.
Notę: If a warp thread has been pierced, puli the warp up
from whichever end pulls freety.
Zig-zag the individual warp threads of the front and the flap into the beadwork. See points A and B, figurę 4.
To close the shoulder of the purse (point C), use a square knot and tie the first outside warp of the front to the first outside warp of the back. Continue tying the remaining four pairs of warp threads on the shoulder. Repeat on other shoulder.
