Thcsc Electronic Couricr Scrvice Providers (ECS) opcrale through the exisling network of Admiralty Distribulors, providing updatc services customised to the vessels portfolio of charts and publications as part of their generał Chart and Publicalion Folio Management value added semcc. The customised updales are supplicd wcekly lo vessels, whilst on passage, using email or by broadcast.

The ECS systems add extra funclionality and flexibilily to update semccs available on the UKHO Website. Uscrs can receive faster dclivcry of safety critical Information eiectronically by:

■    ordering additional charts to be madę available at the nexl Port of cali.

■    rcąuesling updates to the vessel chart and publicalion portfolio prior to arrival al a particular location.

■    providing instant updates to a charl correction log to assist willi management of the ISM regulations.

■    provtding other scrvices such as weather and GPS updates.

Distributors and Ship Managers/Owncrs also use these services for:

■    chart and publication stock management to assist wilh ISO compliance regulations

■    monitoring the up-to-dateness of their ships chart correclion log and chart oulfil.
