A person coming into the room should greet first regardless of their position When a superior comes into the room, the subordinates should not stand up. The superior should greet the subordinates, and they after responding their greeting, should continue their work.

If the superior comes in and offers their hand, men should stand up, but women don’t. When the talk starts, a woman should stand up, but the superior should ask her to sit down after all.
