10. Make a tunic for Joseph.
To do this. take c piece of fabric which is a little longer fhan łhe bottle is tali, and is long enough fo wrap round fhe bottle twice. Find the central point, which will come at the back of the neck. Fold each side a little way past this point so that the fronts overlap. Cut arms as in the diagram, and slope the Shoulders. Place right sides together and sew fronts to back. Ieaving openings for the neck by only sewing shoulders. under-arm and side seams. Tum right side out and dress Joseph in it. securing with a ribbon belf.

11. Place a square of clorh on his head and sew a piece of narrow braid or felt around it to secure in place. Add the facial details with felt pens. Our Joseph had a bit of a lumpy face so we iurned the lumpiness into a beard!
12. Shepherds are madę like Joseph, but using different fabric. Dress them in rather morę drab clofh than you use for Joseph, and give them little lambs to hołd. These can be madę from fiat shapes of terylene wadding with white thread wrapped round their necks and legs to make them separate from their bcdies. Otherwise, use white card and glue cotton wool or terylene wadding to the shapes.
