Putting tha Unit back into Operatlon

When the operaling vollage has been inter-rupted becau&ethe unit has been removed orthe battery disconnected. the unii goes into a special "safe" moda. The unii remalns dormant in thls moda.

If you ttion want to return the unit to opera-

ting moda, Ihe following steps must be car-

ried out.

*    Switch the ignition on, tum radio unit off.

*    Keepthe[AS] © keydepressed and turn Ihe radio on. Initially "SAPĘ* will be shown on the display, followed by

“10 - - - The number 10 indicates the mimber ol attempts lett to enler Ihe correct coda number.

*    Enler Ihe codę number given in the radio pass using the radio station keys [1] to [4] Q asdescrlhad in ^:'Coding the Unii". Overwrite Ihe codę number if an incorrect entry is madę, i.a. łhe whole number musi be re-enterad.

■ When ihe correct codę number is visible on the display, depress Ihe [AS] © key untilthe coniirmation signal isgiven. If tha oode number is correct, the unit will go out of dormant moda.

»If ihe codę number entercd is incorrecl and the [AS] key for oenfirmation has been riepressed, the display will show “9SAFE*.. afterthawaitingtime "9 • - •

The correct coda number can then only be entered efter allowing for the wartlng time to elapea.

Decodlng the Unit

The thefl prolection is cancelled when the unit is decoded-

Procoed as described in 'Coding the Unif. After the unit has beeri suocessfully deco-dad. the unit will go out of dormant modę.

The radio unit is lhuS no longer protected against theft, and oan be put back into ope-ration following ah interruptian of the opera-ting voltage.

Adaptation of łhe Operating Cooaole

The radio unit will only operate using the original operaling consolc. If this is lost, a replauemem operating consoie must fi rat be adaptod to ihe unit by coding.

- Set operating console <6.

* Switch the radio unit on.

The radio is in dormant modę and ihe display will show ⁿPANELTo adapt the naw operating consoie, conduct those steps which are described in tha section 'Coding the Unit^T.
