Refitting the Operating Console

Put the operating console baok inło the recess and press un both sides to lock.

The unit is equipped with a salety system against thett, fi coded radie is of no valoe to tha thief and therefore you -should codę your unit (see the section 'Coding" on page 32) and do not leave the Radio ur Car pass with the codę number in the vehide.

The radio ?s coded before it leaves the plant.

Detachable Operating Console

The unit has a delachable operating eon-sole as an additional thett protection. A LED in ilie releasc key O for the operating console blinks O after switohlng off the radio and the car ignltion.

Taks the operating consule in its case when you leava your car. The uriii will only work with Hs orlginal operating console, Should (his be lost- a replacement operating console must be li rat adapted by appropriatecoding (see section 'Adaptation of the Operating Console" on page 33),

On/Off Switch

Automatic Switch-On

If you have turnad the unit on by depres-sing knob O . you can also turn it off and on again with ihe car ignition.

Vou can deactiwatc and reactivate this aułom atic swiich-on by the following steps:

-    Switch ignition on.

-    Tum radio off with knob O.

■ Turn radio on. The message "IGNI ON" is shown on the display, Helea&e the depressed radio station keys only after the confirmation signal hasgiven.
