Clocks
A clock is a machinę designed to record or indicate the time of day. The way to construct such a machinę is to link a device which makes regular movements with a counting mechanism that records these movements. Ali clocks are based on this formula. Sundials and water clocks from ancient Egypt are earliest known clocks. They were used throughout the periods of the Greek and Roman empires. A parallel linę of development took place in China around the same time period (100-1100AD). The origin of all mechanical clocks is unknown. The first reference to a mechanical clock was in Milan in 1335. The oldest surviving clock was madę in 1386 and can be found in the Salisbury
