THE lordly lion is a necessary part of any real or model circus. Carve at least one as shown here for that animal den you built earlier (see Model Craft Handbook Vol. 2, pub-lished by Science and Mechanics, price 500) -The African lion modeled here in %-in. to 1-ft.

scalę is larger than the average animal, which stands about 3614 in. at the shoulder but not as large as the record lion, which has a shoulder height of 45 in.

Start by enlarging the squared drawings in Fig. 2 on heavy paper to make full-size patferns
