n the subseąuent parts of the article there is analysed the problem of cate-s in the first sense, inclusive of, most of all, the problem of their subjectivity jectivity, as well as various propositions of the description of human mind ories (“the alphabet of human thought” by A. Wierzbicka, R. Langacker’s ptual structure of mind). The finał part is an attempt at synthetic list-: the most generał notions finding their refiection in the language struć-These are: firstly, categories of the first degree, understanding the world ugs, characteristics, relations, occurrences and, secondly, categories of the 1 degree (overlapping the categories of the first degree): amount, time, ities, evaluations and expressions.

Tekst składa się z trzech części. W krótkiej części pierwszej, me-todologiczno-ideologicznej, zwracam uwagę na to, iż ostatnio coraz częściej przedmiotem badań językoznawczych staje się język i znaczenie pojmowane kognitywnjp, czyli-psychologicznie, a nie, na przykład,-strukturalfeiycziue. Fakt ten nie zawsze jest w pełni uświadamiany przez badaczy zajmujących się analizą danych językowych i wyraźnie odwołujących się do aparatury pojęciowej i metodologicznej językoznawstwa kognitywnego.
