BASIC BODY, HEAD, PAWS, HAMDLES, AIIID FLAR

With Brown, work same as Basic Purse Body, Head, Paws, Handles, and Flap, pages 2-4.

MUZZLE

With Brown, ch 3; join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 1,2 sc in each ch around; do not join, place marker to mark beginning of rnd: 6 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12 sc.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 18 sc.

Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 24 sc.

Rnd 5: (Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 30 sc.

Rnd 6: (Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 36 sc.

Rnds 7 and 8: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 9: Sc in each sc around; slip st in next sc, finish off leaving long end for sewing.

Stuff Muzzle. Sew Muzzle to lower front half of Head.

NOSE

With Black, ch 3; join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side): 2 Sc in each ch around; do not join, place marker to mark beginning of rnd: 6 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12 sc.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 18 sc.

Rnd 4: Decrease around; slip st in next sc, finish off leaving a long end for sewing.

Stuff Nose. Sew Nose to Muzzle.

EAR (Make 2)

With Black, ch 3; join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side): 2 Sc in each ch around; do not join, place marker fo mark beginning of rnd: 6 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12 sc.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 18 sc.

Rnds 4-7: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 8: (Sc in next 4 sc, decrease) around: 15 sc.

Rnd 9: (Sc in next 3 sc, decrease) around: 12 sc.

Rnd 10: (Sc in next 2 sc, decrease) around: 9 sc.

Rnd H: (Sc in next sc, decrease) around; slip st in next sc, finish off leaving a long end for sewing: 6 sc.

Flatten Rnd 11, whipstitch through both loops of each stitch across. Using photo as a guide for placement, sew Ears to sides of Head spaced approximately 3W (8.5 cm) apart.
