BODY, HEAD, PAWS, HANDLES, AND FLAP

With Black, work same as Basic Purse Body, Head, Paws, Handles, and Flap, pages 2-4.

MUZZLE

With Brown, ch 3; join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 1, 2 sc in each <śł around; do not join, place marker to mark beginning of rnd: 6 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in eachśe around: 12 sc.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 18sc,

Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around:

24 sc.

Rnd 5: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 6: Sc in each sc around; slip st in next sc, finish off leaving a long end for sewing.

Stuff Muzzle. Sew Muzzle to lower front half of Head.

IMOSE

Using photo as a guide and Black, work several vertical straight stitches in a triangular shape approximately 1" (2.5 cm) long to form Nose on Muzzle (Fig. 6, page 22); having bottom of Nose slightly above center of Muzzle. Make one vertical straight stitch down from center bottom of Nose.

EAR (Make 2)

With Black, ch 3; join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side)! Ch 1,2 sc in each ch around; do not join, place marker to mark beginning of rnd: 6 sc,

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12 sc.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc> 2 sc in next sc) around: 18 sc.

Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 5: Sc in ,e'aćh'sc; slip st in next sc, finish off leaving a long ehd for sewing.

Flatten Rnd 5, whipstitch through both ioops of each stitch across.

Using photo as a guide for placement, sew Ears to sides of Head spaced aprroximately ³A" (19 mm) apart.

TAIŁ

With Black, ch 3; join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 1,2 sc in each ch around; do not join, place marker to mark beginning of rnd: 6 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12 sc.

Stuff Taił. Sew Taił to Body opposite Head.
