Turkish Alphabet
There are 29 letters in Turkish alphabet. There is no Qq, Xx or /w.
Instead. there are 5 other letters (< ę. Gg, Óó, U u).
And. instead of . there are two letters. li and ii.

Comes after letter Cc, it is a 'C' with a cedilla.
It sounds like the eh' in chalk. cherry, peach etc.
Comes after letter Gg. it is a *G' with a bar on top It is called 'The Soft G'\ No word can start with this letter. It sounds like the •gh' m through or bought.
This is the letter V that does not have a dot on top. Iowercase or uppercase. It sounds like the 'e* in number or mark;t
This is the letter Y that has a dot on top. both m Iowercase and in uppercase. It sounds like the T in b ngo or letter 'e" in beware
Comes after letter Oo, it is an 'O" with dieresis It sounds like the ‘u' in purr. turnip or curse.
Comes after letter Ss it is an 'S' with a cedilla.
It sounds like the “sh* m sheep or crash.
Comes after letter Uu. it is a “U" with dieresis.
It sounds a little like the "u’ in pi.re and a little like the ‘ e’ in

In the Turkish Literaturę List. I underlmed the letters that are supposed to be Turkish charac-ters. rather than putting in the real Turkish character itself. I chose this method because. not everyone can display Turkish character set on their screens. This. however. is an image file. so hopefully everybody will see it as it is
