Oxidative
Figurę 20-29 Kinctic mechanism of Iactose pernicase in /:. coli. H+ binds first to E-2 outside the celi, followed by Iactose. They are released in random order from E-l inside the celi. E-2 must bind both Iactose and H " in order to change conformation to E-l, thereby cotransporting these substances into the celi. E-l changes conformation to E-2 when neither Iactose nor H+ is bound, thus completing the transport cycle.
