♦ With the outer tubę compressed by hands, remove the special tool.

CAUTION

Removing the locknut ® and pushing the inner rod thread into the damper rod will damage the inner rod oil seal.

Do not remove the locknut ® from the inner rod.

Loosen the fork cap bolt (T) (sub-tank) and remove the sub tank ® along with the damper rod assembly <§).

Remove the fork spring ® and spring coller ®.

CAUTION

Disassembling the damper rod assembly can lead to trouble.

Do not disassemble the damper rod assembly.

* Remove the dust seal @ and the stopper ring ®.

CAUTION

Scratohes on the inner tubę could cause oil leaks. Avoid scratching when removing.
