PRACTICAL TATTING
This pattern is quite straightforward to work. The lozenge-shaped section is madę with the thread wound on two shuttles, the ball-thread shuttle being used to work the four inside rings. The two halves of the stalk section should be joined together at the base of the leaves by hooking the shuttle thread through the base of the opposite leaf, after working each leaf and before continuing the stem chain. The flower starts with a ring of 12 p separated by 2 ds. The second row is worked with one shuttle only and a space of about 3 mm. or 'A in. between rings; the footing pulls it together into a nice curve.
