PRACTICAL TATTING
This pattern is much simpler than it looks. You will need to wind the bali thread on to a second shuttle, which is used to work the Josephine knots. These are madę by working the first half of the stitch only, in this case ten times, and pulling the thread through in the same way as for an ordinary ring. It’s a bit fiddly to do as ten half-stitches make a very smali circle and the shuttle thread tends to twist itself up and is difficult to puli through. Pay no attention to the large size of the cross-oyer circle at the corner of the diagram. The diagram has been opened out to make it easier to read, and these anomalies sometimes happen.
