Drive pinion with concavo washer

The washer for fhe 3rd gear on łhe drive pinion has boen replaced by a concave washer. If is odjusted by means of shims to give a spring travel of 0.17 ± 0.01 mm (0.007" ± 0.0004") and exerts o pressure of approximately 100 kg (220 Ibs.) on the 3rd gear and the clułch gear for lst and 2nd geor. This reduces the self-oscillotions of these parts which improves the silent running of the transmission.

Transmission mounting and suspension

The fully synchromesh transmission is mounted at the front in a softer bonded rubbcr mounting. It is attached to a flonge which is wclded to the rear cross tubę.

In connection with the introduction of the softer bonded rubber mounting, the frame fork has been reinforced on each side by o welded-in plotę.

The rubber bumper ottoched to the spring piąte ond the axle shaft beoring housing which becomes progressive in the upper deflection rangę is 10 mm (.4") higher. It now comes into operation eorlier and is morę effectivc.

Brakes


A brake master cylinder reservoir of transparent synthetic materiał is being installed. It is secured to the body reinforcoment plotę behind the spore wheel undcr the front hood with a retaining band. This olteration facilitates checking the brake fluid level during Inspections.
