Special Piecautions

Reinoval instaliation

1.    Rock crankshaft slightly to ensure timing pin located correctly [6].

2.    Ensure timing marks aligned [7] & [8].

3.    Observe direction of rotation marks on belt. Align marks on belt with marks on sprockets [12] & [13].

4.    Ensure tensioner pulley nut fully slackened [11 ].

5.    Fit timing belt in following order:

o Crankshaft sprocket. o Auxiliary shaft sprocket. o Guide pulley. o Injection pump sprocket. o Camshaft sprocket.

NOTĘ: Enstue belt istaut between sprockets.

6.    Fit tool No.999-5506 to belt [14],

7.    Screw M6 bolt into timing belt rear cover to push on tool at tensioner pulley [15].

8.    Screw in M6 bolt and tension belt to 7,5 mm (cold). Use tension gauge [16].

9.    Tighten tensioner pulley nut to 50 Nm [11 ].

10.    Remove:

o Tensioning tool [14]. o Timing pin [6].

11.    Tum crankshaft two turns clockwise. Insert timing pin [6].

12.    Ensure timing marks aligned [7] & [8],

13.    Recheck belt tension.

14.    Remove:

o M6 bolt [15]. o Timing pin [6].

15.    Fit blanking pług.

16.    Check and adjust injection pump timing.

17.    Install components in reverse order of removal.

18.    Bleed fuel system.

19.    Tighten crankshaft pulley bolt to 95 Nm [9].
