FOLLOW the cushion how-to on page 45 to create the front of your bag. When finished, hem the top edge under. Cut a second piece of fabric to the same size and hem the top edge under as well.
TO make your handles, make a Icm fold to the reverse on each long side of both your 7x27cm strips. Iron the folds fiat. Fold in half again, so the folded edges linę up. Pin and machinę stitch in place.
WITH right sides in, pin and machinę stitch your front and back pieces in place. Turn right side out. Attach your handles to the inside of your bag. Hand or machinę stitch in place to secure.
When choosing your fabrics, stick to a limited colour scheme but mix and match a variety of pattern sizes and styles. One of your colours should be a bit bolder than the rest, like our red stripe, to keep things lively.
