2. How would you interpret the results of a survey presented in the materiał?
The survey must have been carried out by an organisation which deals with ecological problems. One : problems in cities is the growing number of cars, which results in increasing congestion in the Street producing a large amount of exhaust fumes. The figures say that:
• 68% of drivers use their cars because they are not satisfied with public transport and they would leave car at home if public transport improved;
• 18% of drivers do not think that the cost of using a car is very high and they would consider a limited ; their cars if the cost of motoring was higher;
• only 14% of drivers would decide to use their cars less for ecological reasons;
The conclusion is that public transport should be improved, because then the number of cars in the s might decrease considerably.
