Bathrooms no longer have to be a chore to clean. The same cleaning products used in the kitchen are suitable for the bathroom. for example. white vinegar baking soda. and lemon juice.
Vinegar removes most dirt without scrubbing and doesnt leave a film. Use 55ml/1Ał cup (or morę) vinegar to 4ltrs/1 galion water. To remove a stronger film buildup, apply vinegar full-strength to a sponge and wipe. Next. use baking soda as you would a scouring powder. Sprinkle and rub with a damp sponge and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Another tip for cleaning the bath is to rub the area to be cleaned with half a lemon dipped in borax. baking soda or salt. Rinse well. and dry with a soft cloth.
To help save your back whilst cleaning out the bath and shower get a good stiff broom. This will keep you from having to bend over so much.
Add a couple of drops of your favourite essential oil to the inside of the cardboard toilet tissue roli. With each tum. fragrance is released into the room. To dissipate bad smelling gases in the air simply light a match for a few moments or bum a candle (scented or unscented). The flame from either will "eat-up" the bad smelling gases.
To clean hardwood. linoleum, tiles. and any washable surfaces use 110ml/1/2 cup of vinegar with 4ltrs/1 galion hot water.
To make a bathroom glass cleaner mix 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 1.2ltrs/2pints of water in a spray bottle. To remove oily fingerprints and hairspray from the mirror, dab on a little rubbing alcohol and wipe with a linen rag.
