AIR FILIER CLEANING/ CARBURETOR JOINT INSPECTSON

• Squeeze the excess solvent out of the element and let dry.

CAUTION: _

Do not twist the element when equeezing the element.

7.    Inspect:

Air filter element •Seal (p

Damage-^Replace.

8.    Apply:

®Foam-air-filter oil or Yamalube 2-cycle oil Onto the element.

9.    Squeeze out the excess oil.

NOTĘ: ___

The element should be wet but not dripping.

10. Install:

®Air filter element •Element guide •Air filter case cover

When installing the air filter element in its case, be surę its sealing surface matches the sealing surface of the case so there is no air seak.

11. Install:

• Fuel tank •Front seat «Side cover

CARBURETOR JOINT INSPECTION

1.    Remove: ^sLower cowling

Refer to "COWLINGS" section.

2.    Inspect:

•Carburetor joint (J)

Cracks/ Damage-*- Replace.

3.    Install:

• Lower cowl
