Holiday Characters in Beads

Basic Step

Cross Wires (CW): Add beads as indicated to one wire and run other wire back through beads (Figurę A) to form a row.

Unless otherwise directed, aiways add beads to wire on the same side ot project; for example, the wire on the right. After beads are added, the opposite wire is crossed through beads and becomes the wire on the right side. Adding beads toalter-nate wires helps keep both wires equal in length.

Materials:

19 — 3mm Pearls, White (416-11)

59 — 6mm Pearls, White (416-17)

2 — 6mm Rondeli Beads, Opaque Black (380-48)

6mm Transparent Faceted Beads — 1 Orange (37703) and 21 Sapphire (430-33) or Cołors of Choice 2 yds. — 28 ga. Barę Spool Wire, Silver (658-97)

Basic Supplies

Row 1: For hanger, center 19 — 3mm pearls on wire. Add 1 — 3mm pearl to each wire end and twist wires together.

Row 2: Add 4 sapphire to each wire, CW through last 2 beads on each wire and puli tight.

Row 3: To one wire, add 5 — sapphire, CW and puli tight.

Row 4: Add 4 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 5: Add 1 — 6mm pearl, 1 rondeli, 1 — 6mm pearl, 1 rondeli, 1 — 3mm pearl, CW and puli tight.

Row 6: Add 2 — 6mm pearls, 1 orange, 2 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 7: Add 4 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 8: Add 3 sapphire, CW and puli tight.

Row 9: On right wire, add 3 sapphire, run same wire around last bead and back through first two beads (Figurę B) and puli tight.

Row 10: Add 4 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 11: Add 2 — 6mm pearls, 1 sapphire,

2    — 6mm pearls. CW and puli tight.

Row 12: Add 6 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 13: Add 7 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 14: Add 3 — 6mm pearls, 1 sapphire,

3    — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 15: Add 6 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli 6 tight.

Row 16: Add 5 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight.

Row 17: Add 4 — 6mm pearls, CW and puli tight. Run wires back through several rows to secure and clip wire ends close to beads.

Clown

Materials:

12 — 3mm Pearls, White (416-11)

8 — 6mm Rondeli Beads, Opaque Black (380-48)

6mm Transparent Faceted Beads — 13 Ruby (430-39), 17 Pink (430-41), 2 Light Sapphire (430-31), 31 Sapphire (430-33) and 37 Orange (377-03)

8 — 6mm Faceted Beads, AB White (431-25) 2 yds. — 28 ga Barę Spool Wire, Silver (658-97)

Basic Supplies

Row 1: Center 8 rondells on wire. Add 3 sapphire to left wire; add 3 orange to right wire. Run left wire through orange beads on the right, and right wire through sapphire beads on the left, puli tight. Holding 3 orange and 4 rondells in one hand and 3 sapphire and 4 rondells in the other, twist wires once at

center to form feet (Figurę ).

Rows 2-5: To one wire, add 3 blue, 3 orange, CW and puli tight.

Row 6: Add 1 AB white, 2 sapphire, 2 orange,

1    AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 7: Add 3 sapphire, 3 orange, CW and puli tight.

Row 8: Add 2 sapphire, 1 orange, 1 sapphire.

2    orange, CW and puli tight.

Row 9: Add 3 sapphire, 3 orange, CW and puli tight.

Row 10: Repeat Row 8.

Row 11: Add 2 orange, 2 pink, 2 orange, CW and puli tight.

Row 12: Add 1 orange, 4 pink. 1 orange. CW and puli tight.

Row 13: Add 2 pink, 1 ruby, 2 pink, CW and puli tight.

Row 14: Add 1 pink, 1 light sapphire, 1 pink, 1 light sapphire, 1 pink, CW and puli tight.

Row 15: To left wire add 3 ruby. Run same wire around last bead and back through first two beads and puli tight. Repeat with right wire.

Row 16: Add 4 pink, CW and puli tight.

Row 17: Repeat Row 15.

Row 18: Add 1 AB white, 1 sapphire, 2 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 19: Add 2 AB white, 1 orange, CW and puli tight.

Row 20: Add 1 orange, 1 sapphire, CW and puli tight.

Row 21: Add 1 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 22: Add 12 — 3mm pearls, CW through all pearls and puli tight to form hanger loop. Run wires back through several rows to secure and clip wire ends close to beads.

Elf

Materials*

12    — 3mm Pearls, White (416-11)

13    — 6mm Rondeli Beads, Opaque Black (380-48)

6mm Transparent Faceted Beads: 1 Ruby (430-39), 43 Limę (430-23), 2 Light Sapphire (430-31)

23 — 6mm Faceted Beads, AB White (431-25)

Basic Supplies

Row 1: Center 8 rondeli beads on wire. To each end of wire add 2 limę beads. Run left wire through limę beads on the right; run right wire through beads on the left, puli tight. Holding 2 limę and 4 rondells in each hand, twist at center once to form feet (Figurę C).

Rows 2-4: To right wire, add 5 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 5: Add 1 AB white, 5 rondells, 1 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 6: Add 6 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 7: Add 2 limę, 2 AB white, 2 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 8: Add 6 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 9: Add 2 AB white, 1 ruby, 2 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 10: Add 1 AB white, 1 light sapphire, 1 AB white, 1 light sapphire, and 1 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 11: Add 6 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 12: Add 5 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 13: Add 4 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 14: Add 3 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 15: Add 2 limę, CW and puli tight.

Row 16: Add 1 AB white, CW and puli tight.

Row 17: Add 13 — 3mm pearls, CW and puli tight to form hanger loop. Run wire ends back through several rows to secure and clip wire ends close to beads.
