It is entered with longitudc and with the diffcrencc bctwccn the times for ihc given datc and for the prcccding datc (in cast longitudc*) or folłowing datc (in west longitudc*) The correction is normally ajded for west longitudc* and subtracted for cast longitudcs, but if, as occaskmally happens, the times bccomc carlicr cach day instead of latcr, the signs of the corrections must bc rcversed.
