Choose ribbons in a uariety ofcolours and patternsfor an eye-catching look Stępi ! Step2 i Step3 \ Step4
ONCE you've selected your ribbon, you’ll need to cut it to length. Ourflowers measure about lOcm in diameter, so cut each length to measure about 20cm. Now fold one end to the centre and secure with a couple of stitches.
THE next step is to fold the second ribbon end towards the centre, overlapping with the first ribbon end by about 0.5cm. Stitch securely, and then repeat to create each petal. You’ll need at least three or four petals.
NOW start to assemble by placing each petal together, fanning each one to create the f loral shape. Once you're happy, stitch together - a thimble will help as you’ll be stitching through quite a few layers of ribbon.
ONCE this is complete, start to create additional petals using contrasting ribbons, as shown here. Finish by adding a button to the centre, to cover your tacking stitches. Add a safety pin or brooch . clip to create a corsage.
These look great on their own or as the centre ofa largerflower

RIBBONS with a width of about 1 to 1.5cm work best for this technique. Cut your ribbon to measure about 10cm. Fold one end to the reverse and secure with your tacking thread.
NOW work a running stitch along one edge of the ribbon using even stitches of about 0.5cm in length. Be surę to choose a co-ordinating coloured thread to work your running stitch.
ONCE you've finished working the running stitch, carefully puli your thread end to create the pleated effect, until the ribbon curls back in on itself. You will now have a circular shape.
THE finał step is to secure this ribbon end by stitching in place using the excess of the thread you used to create the running stitch. A couple of smali tacking stitches will be enough to hołd it in place.
