6 Cover buttons with yellow fabric. Read Painting Designs. pages 93-94. then use foam brush to painl a red dot on the center of each covered button.

7.    Cut out smali leaf shapes from felt Read Embroidering, page 95. then straight stitch leaf veins.

8.    Hot glue leaves to back of each covered button Evenly space covered buttons as desired on cushion. Read Tufting a Pillow. page 95. to scw each covered button to front with a yellow button at back of cushion.

Window Topper You will need a curtain rod. yellow check fabric. green polka-dot fabric. pink fabric. scrap of yellow plaid fabric. white jumbo rickrack, white bali fringe. Vh" dia. button from covered button kit. 4" white tassel. fabric glue. hot glue gun. and Mary Engelbreit blue floral fabric.

Match right sides and use a '/?" seam allowance lor ad sewing untess olfierwise indicated.

I. Mount curtain rod and measure.

2 Cut one piece each ol yellow check and green fabric the determined width and 31" long.

3.    Fold each fabric piece in half lengthwise; measure up 13W from bottom along raw edges and draw a diagonal linę to bottom of fold. Cut fabric along linę.

4.    Leaving an opening for turning. sew fabric pieces together. Clip corners and turn. Whipstitch opening closed. Use fabric glue to adhere bali fringe along straight width of yellow fabric.

5.    Subtract 4" from width measurement. Cut a piece of blue fabric this measurement and 26'/:“ long. Measuring I0V«". repeat Step 3 to cut one end to a point

6.    Press straight end of blue fabric ',V to wrong side. use fabric glue to secure. Center blue fabric on green fabric. Aligning straight ends, use fabric glue to adhere in place.

7 Add 2" to width measurement. Cut a piece of pink fabric this measurement and 15'/:" long. Measuring 127<". repeat Step 3 to cut one end to a point. Measuring 2" for width, cut fabric to form a "v.^M

8.    Place "v" below blue fabric point and wrap ends to back of window topper: use fabric glue to adhere in place. Glue rickrack to each side of blue fabric and over raw edges of pink fabric. wrapping ends to back of window topper

9.    Cover button with yellow plaid fabric. Hot glue button to bottom point of pink fabric. Hot glue tassel behind point.
