Whilc on this subjcct, I would point out that thc man of sedcntary occupation can never hopc to stand the same amount ot physical work as regards weight-lifting as his fellow friend, who is a manuał laborer, and wliose muscles are daily tuned to mechanical lahor. which drains the system least of any, while brain work is a constant and steady drain on the whoie system, and it will, no doubt. surprisc many to learn that the brain worker is morę likely to stiffer from overwork than thc man, who, like myself, daily performs such arduous feats which are purely mus-cular. When the brain worker changcs to physical work, he finds the cłiange helpful, inasmuch as a change of work is as good as a rest, and. thereforc. he will not, of course, regard the li fis he practices as work, but as a plcasant past i me.
